may be something will move... but this M1 setup on EU and EJ demanded to be traded. It now has a bad red candle. BUT SL is only 5 pips. I accept this risk, yep, no big deal...
Bettina: here as you can see I was attempting (or hoping haha) for 5th to occur. Which did not happen. NEXT

Hi Immy,

thanks for your answer, but still there is something.
S1 = on your current Time Frame Gator is sleeping. And I would call it sleeping if the lines are NOT Open, or intertwined or just inside a Tight Box.
So the gator might cross and open UPWARDS in the box, if you want to SELL ??
Open in the wrong direction at dot time ?

Is this one an S1 on EU M5 ?

I have another question : If M5 gator is sleeping, what do we really need ?
Sometimes I read: We need an S1 on M5, sometimes I read that we need a breakout ?
What do you mean exactly.
Thanks for your patience !

No let me correct that. I want the Gator to be Sleeping and or within a Tight box . then I would call it S1. The dot must be correct colour and dot candle must be inside the box.

The one in the picture, I remember quite clearly how I saw it just before news. It is a Dot setup. I would have taken it because I'd be trying to get into a 5th wave.

You cannot filter trades because you think you're right. You cannot filter trades because you don't want to lose.
You filter trades on a certain criteria. e.g. Its a setup but its against a higher time frame where I have seen a completed wave and I do not see a potential for good trade that has a potential of a good Risk Reward.

And its a good idea to leave the screen if you've hit your daily target/goal or you had some very good trades. It will come in handy specifically for those people who are aware or unaware of the fact that most of us have self-destructive, self-sabotaging behaviour in us. Most of us have internal blocks that get activated on the subconscious level. Most of us have a belief that "I am not a successful person" or "Money is bad, and since I made money today so that makes me bad, and bad people need to be punished". Guess what would happen if you carry a belief like this without even being aware of it. So when you make good money, just leave. And I recommend that you allot yourself a window or 1,2 or 3hr max per trading session. If you see a setup take it, if you don't just don't trade. come back tomorrow or next session if that is your plan. The LESS you trade, the more you'd make. I'd also stress that if you're new stay on M5. Do not trade EJ, trade EU on M5 only.

That clarifies a lot.
I never, never would have thought this could be a S1 setup.
- Box not tight
- gator crossing in the box, but not obviously sleeping, open to the wrong side at dot time
- AO not close to ZL

The reason why I ask is : I had that several times. Whenever I try to follow all rules on M1 and M5, I don't get one single trade, because I don't understand the rules or they very rarely are valid.
If I trade, as I would interprete them, I have nothing but rents.

1 ) What is sleeping ?
- You said : Not open. When ? At the beginning of the box ? at dot time ? at possible break of the box ? Opening at dot time irrelevant ?
2 ) What is close to ZL ( if not Steve's colours ) ????? ( In the picture of the last EU M5, AO is blue and not yellow )
3 ) What is tight ? You don't regard everything below 15 as tight, do you ?
4 ) Still not sure about M5 needs ?
( See question in last post )
