Setup 2

Unread post by jayvee »

In Grant.s template the question "is there a fresh Aims level after dot"
Does this mean on dot candle, the next candle after the dot or after a few candles after the dot?

And are we looking for a new Aims level in the direction of the trade only?

Thanks for your help

Morning John

if the candle with the dot has broken the aims level then i wait for a fresh aims, it may occur on the dot candle or just after, but make sure all the other rules are in place as well before pulling the trigger..

cheers

john,

it has to be in the direction of the potential trade...

an opposite one is always good as well (but not necessary) as then your initial SL is closer to your entry..

cheers

John,

perfect example just happened, see pic below,

dot candle broke aims (1st arrow)
new aims level 2 candles later (2nd arrow)
slight pull back and aims high so SL is closer
entry under the m5 aims level at 1.2911
simple 15 pips in the bank

hope this helps

Grant

ps. not trading today so didnt take it.... sigh

Hi Grant, I much prefer to trade of a single chart, so how do you get the 5m Aims levels on the 1m chart.
Also what are the two prices in the bottom right hand corner of the chart and what do you use the 2xATR(14) for?

And going back to my original question ih this thread, on a Setup 2 entry how many bars after the dotis allowable for an Aims level change.

I really appreciate your help/

Thanks John.

John,

The two prices in the bottom right corner of the chart are Bid / Ask prices (Bid being the Bigger, unless Grant has changed the settings!!)

Cheers
