Re: Vicky's Journals
Progress report so far on first T20. Trades 1-9
1 did not finish (due to demo account closing)
4 1R losses
1 2R profit
3 Break evens
Note to self - Happy with above to date, stick to plan and be patient!
Wait for right setups to come, don't force trades!

Re: Vicky's Journals
Hey Vicky
Glad to see you are keeping and updating your journal. A great too for success.
I have noticed something very important though.
Lets switch the focus on this exercise in the correct direction, the right direction.
instead of "2R win and 1R loss" what we really want to focus on is. The Discipline Score. DS1 or DS0 and the tally of the e.g. DS1 Total 11/12 meaning 11 trades were DS1 and you lost discipline once within a dozen trades.
The reason people don't succeed in trading is because they don't know how to trade correctly. And that happens because they get too emotional and have a narrow tunnel vision. To remedy these problems we apply the T20 principle. T20 does 2 things. 1. It brings your focus of attention towards the things that matter. that is Discipline not the profit. Profit is the byproduct of trading correctly. 2. It trains you to acquire a probabilistic mindset.
hope this makes sense...

What is the Secret of Successful Trading?
The Consistent Pursuit of DS1
The thing that makes me money in trading is when I "Objectively Follow my Trading Plan".
I understand that I can't catch all the moves or all the signals but my objective is to catch THE VALID SIGNALS & ONLY the Valid Signals.
My Deathbed Advice "5:1 Reward to Risk Ratio".

Tips and Tricks
1. To show trade arrows on chart, go to History and drag and drop the trade on the chart. You will then have trade entry arrow and exit with a dotted connecting line.
2. In order to view charts in the correct zoom level, there is a tick Steve shared on his website. If you do that your MT4 charts will look bigger and easier on eyes.

Re: Vicky's Journals
Hi Immy
Sorry for the delay, I was on my daughter sailing camp for a couple of days.
Thank you for taking the time to read my journal.
I am just about to post my next chart and result, I have managed to work out the arrows to the charts, thank you this is helpful and something I was used to in IG. Still finding my way around Pepperstone.
I have looked at the link, and will get hubby to help with this, he is my IT man!
I agree with what you are saying on the DS scores, so to recap DS1 is when you got it correct and followed the setup flow chart rules? and DS0 is when you didn't but placed the trade anyway, is this correct?, when you get time would you be able to flick through the ones I have posted and tell me what one/omes would be a DS0 so I have an example?
I am thinking the one I am just about to place will be a DS0, can you check this one for me?
Many thanks
Vicky

02/11/17
Batch 1
Trade 10 (half way mark)
US2000 H4
E= 1509.0
S= 1480.2
T= 1558.6
DS0
On reflection, this one had purple in the box, and gator was not sleeping. I placed my order at the top of the AIMS box, thinking by the time it gets filled the purple will be in the correct position.
Result confirmation that this didn't work!

Re: Vicky's Journals
Hi Vicky in regards to No.10 if you look again the box was rather big, wasn't it? It also had a few levels to the left which doesn't worry me as I've seen so many trades busting through levels to the left on LTF, but yeah box was big and purple was clearly inside meaning that the HTF D1 is not trending nor an Open gator or has sideways moves. If you had followed flowchart you wouldn't have taken this. You make your decisions based on how chart looks now not how it might look in future.vickyp wrote: 08 Nov 2017, 04:53 02/11/17

This one took a while to unfold, it ended as a break even. I marked this DS0 because now on reflection there was no wave 3 number until after I was in. Wave 3 and Wave 5 (after a small wave 4) along with TZ line is what I am looking for now.
Onto the next ...
