Hello Monday

Some thoughts ... ImmyYesterday at 21:20@viv
[21:21]
@vickyp You once mentioned that you found that hunt signals worked really nice on h4 and I dismissed it (almost). You were so right. I have been backtesting h4 time frame for Banana chery signals and they have produced stunning resutls for far.

19 September 2021vickypToday at 12:22@Immy Looking forward to seeing that. My best run and increase in my account was on the H4. I have been looking at D1 but have to say I still find H4 better, maybe I am narrowing the time frame for me!?ImmyToday at 16:46whichever time frame makes you feel at home is YOUR time frame. the method WORKS on all time frames but we don't work on all time frames. It's important to know which method (which you already have) is for you and which time frame is for you. Some methods are time frame specific, AIMS methods, the trend following breakouts methods, pullbacks within trends methods are any time frames... In the end it all depends on the trader, the process they follow and how discipline the trader is. @vickyp

AUD/USD Forecast

Unread post by immy »

Here you have example of a pair going into Breakout Phase, then turning into descending / wedge channel and then breaking out again.

Now it seems to be going in to sideways trading range.

Why Bother with Sideways Markets?

Unread post by immy »

Why waste time on trying to trade the sideways crap?

The money is in the CHANGE and when CHANGE is NOT happening why bother?

Trend = Directional CHANGE
Range = Change and Anti Change = Growth and Anti Growth
Why not trade ONLY the moving markets.png

and then why sit and watch a one minute chart like this

Why waste time?

Disciplined Trading is Easier on H1 than M1

Unread post by immy »

If you ask me what you've learned in the last 10 years of trading the m1 chart I'd say this

It is 1000 times easier to remain disciplined on the H1 chart than it is on the M1 chart.

On H1 there is Gap between events. The human mind can deal with it. The time between Entry and Exit is at least an hr. (though somes times can be even quicker).

The time gap between entry and exit with profit is larger. You get to LEAVE the chart and allow the market to do its thing.

On m1, you're choking the baby. Holding her too tight out of your love and the baby dies ... You did not want to kill her, she was your love but you choked her because you were too scared of losing her. and in doing so, you lost her

The above gruesome analogy is very befitting. Because that's how you'd feel when you're new and trying to learn to trade on the m1 chart.

As I posted earlier today, Swissing was in a trading range.

I marked the chart with arrows suggesting that if it breaks out then we could go short

IT did not give a signal on H1 but this is how we can trade the H1/M% ssetup.

and the Setup 1 on m5 was like so
