VE AIMS Problems

I keep getting an intermittant problem with the EA and not sure if it's my computer or what. Hope Steve or another computer wiz can shed some light.

On demo the EA worked fine, but the last 2 weeks I started to use a live account and since then have had problems. Have also noticed the response time doing any actions on charts can be extremely slow at times and today with a PO placed my platform froze, had to Ctrl/Alt Del to get task mng in order to close platform and reopen as quickly as possible. I suspect there's a problem with my computer, but it seems a co-incidence it only started on the live account and even when all ok on the computer I still have trouble with the EA.

I use GKFX, have the EA on only 1 chart, all settings on EA checked by experienced user (nickderby), smiley face etc.etc. and when I place a PO sometimes I get the SL & TP, sometimes not. Also today, although the SL & TP appeared I couldn't move any of the lines.

Will try back on demo tomorrow and see what happens. Meanwhile, thought it worth reporting in case someone knows exactly what the problem is.

Hi Margaret

I don't use the EA so can't really comment on its use. I would suggest a process of elimination:-

Load a clean and latest copy of MT4
Load EA on a clean chart
See how things go from there. If all good, load your indicators one-by-one to see if any cause issues.

Bit of a pain to do but can't think of anything else to suggest

Will keep trying and do as you suggest as last resort, or maybe I'll take the path of least resistance and switch to higher time frame!
