dots and sounds

Could anyone tell me how to get the voice telling me where to look when a dot appears. I get a beep now no voice I had to reload v5 to charts and i had heard the voice for the first time but it went away quickly and i do not know why It came or why It left now I have the beeps again . The voice Is much nicer I would like to get it back and I also tried loading the upgrade v5.1 and I can not load It I have been trying for a couple of weeks with no luck because I did not want to ask on the site. I thought It would be difficult to explain through email but I don't know what else to do I am sorry. THANK YOU. ~x(

Hi, I think you lost your sound files. try running AIMS_Stress_Free_Trading_V5.exe again they should return and then reapply the updattes

The purpose of this forum is to bring together like minded people, help each other, understand and learn from each other. So I'd say you should have asked this earlier. But good that you have asked finally. I guess John is right, you may not have the appropriate sound files or, you might have enabled both options for Pop Alert and Sound Alert. If that is the case I suggest swith the pop up alert to false. Mt4 conflicts on this and ends up blipping.

Try to check if you have sound files in the MT4 directory > Sounds folder. If they are there, t hen check the indicator settings for the above.

thanks John and Immy for the answers I have not had a chance to come back to forum till now . I am not sure where to go to find alerts or sounds to see which one I have on. I just finished hooking up my new computer and I have a tech department that should be able to help me and show me how to get the information In the future I will contact them today. Again thank you both and I am goung to start asking more questions.

Hi I'm hoping someone can help me, I am getting no sound from my dots! I have checked the indi settings and they are correct, also the sounds folder in my mt4 contains all the files for the different pairs. I've had this problem for a few days now and It's starting to ge a bit frustrating missing signals. Any help would be much appreicated =) Tom

i think that you are talking about the AIMS entry alert, correct?

see attached image for my settings, maybe some setting is the problem.

does your computer play other sounds?
is mt4 muted?
is your AIMS indicators installed recently?
do you have the latest mt4? (i think build 432)

we really need Steve to answer this but i know he is busy today with his normal job.... I'm sure he will answer as soon as he can..

One thing to check : i think you can only have the voice alert OR the pop up alert set to true. If they are both true then i believe the pop up over rides the voice alert... Steve will of course clarify that but its worth a shot...

Thanks for your replies guys, I am running build 432 and all my settings looks the same as above, using aims entry alert V5.1. My pc is still playing other sounds, how would I know if mt4 is muted? Thanks, Tom

you could check if the sound on that application, mt4, is muted in volume mixer. who knows, it might be

*note, i take for granted you are running a windows 7 system here

CTRL+ESC to bring up start menu
type "vol" in the search program and files field
select "adjust system volume"

in that menu you can change some things, maybe your problem is there.
