Hi,
Some prefer to have the AO ( Ewaves ) with a variable amount, or some people prefer not to use the orange...The way I use it is just like you. I have a fixed point ( 0.0006 and 0.0002 ). I keep it like this because it immediately shows me that if the orange is large then the price action range is small....so it shows me that the potential for larger moves is limited.
For example on your chart, the full range is only about 20 pips, which isn't much at all.
I want higher probability trades but also trades with higher possibility for large moves.
So, large orange = smaller range = less potential for decent moves.
Small orange = bigger potential range and possibility of larger moves.
I tend to trade a lot less when orange AO is large.
This matters as our spread is fixed and so if I take too many trades with large orange AO, then my spread is a higher % of the amount it moves. IE less profit.

Hope this helps

Nick

Hi Grant I am In the input section of the custom indicator and I see filterAO valve and I see comment 4 set AO value or aimsboxpips to zero. I tried changing the filter ao valve which Is currently set at 0.0006 I thought that this was what you were talking about. But when I tried to change that # I could not get It to stay there. I hit ok and reset but when I open the box back up to check it was back to 0.0006 what do I do and thank you In advance

Jim

Not the Entry Alert Indicator. Leave those as they are. Please check the Values for AIMS Wave v.5.1.

cheers

nickderby Thank you I did not know orange meant low chance of big moves now I do and did I see you somewhere else fmm. I see profits here once I get a tad better what do you think. About yellow I would think It would be better left than you can still place trades and with a heads up of what might happen right. :D
