Download AIMS S1 Alert - Standard
Updated: 24 Oct 2012
We have decided to share the S1 DA Alert with all Standard Members.
The Standard version has limited features but comes with built in features as default.
Comparatively in the Premium version you are able to change many different features and options but it still gives you double arrows just like the premium indicators with extra features.
How to Use it:
Just add to your normal V5.1 template and save over. You may want to change the size or colour of arrows to suit your eyes.
You may use this instead of AIMS Entry Alert V5.1 or in conjuction its up to you.
What does it do:
A dot is our entry alert. Of all the dot entry alerts there are some that are classed as Higher Probability Setups.
This Alert will further qualify a dot. It indicates that when a Dot has a SA (Single Arrow) or a DA (Double Arrow) it is higher probability Setup.
What is a Higher Probability Setup?
A higher probability setup is a Setup 1 in the direction of Higher Time Frame Trend.
e.g. if M5 alligator is open to down side and you see a DA S1 Alert on M1, it may be a higher probability sell setup and vice-versa for longs.
Can we take all the DA or SA Alerts?
No, you still need to check a few things. It is a two step process.
Step 1. When see a DA or a SA, Check if it really is Setup 1 on your current time, (The time frame where you see a DA or a SA.) We don't trade the arrow per se we trade the Setup 1. Just like you'd do for any normal dot alert as per the manual, you check the three rules to create Setup 1.
Remember: We don't trade the Dot, we trade the setup. Like the Dots, the SA or DA, Alerts us to a possible Setup 1 that may be in the direction of a higher time frame trend.
Important Concept: Higher Probability Setups are Breakouts in the Direction of Higher Time Frame Trends.
How do you the above: This is done as per the manual. The Three Setup Rules create a Setup 1.
Rule 1. Gator is sleeping
Rule 2. AIMS Wave is close to Zero Line.
Rule 3. Exit is near i.e. AIMS Box is not too big and/or Gator lines are close.
Step 2. Having satisfied the above rules and you are sure its Setup 1 that can be traded, you'd employ a few additional filters. This step is crucial to minimizing Rent trades.
Point to Note: Although DA or SA alerts us "A Higher Probability Setup" it may at times alert you towards the end of a trend on a higher time frame. To remedy that we would have a quick look at the higher time frames to see if the Gator Lines were open recently and AIMS Wave is not too big or diverging. If you think that trend on higher time frame, or rather wave on the HTF may be near its end, that the Gator has eaten enough pips and now ready to go to sleep you may want to filter a few trades. This bit is quite subjective but with a bit of practice you may get the hang of it.
Can I use Elliott Wave Analysis to Filter Trades: If you know how to Use AIMS Wave or Snorms eWave to count waves you'd be able to filter many trades on lower time frames. e.g. if you see that M5 has completed 1-5 wave and you see a DA on M1, it might be safer to filter this trade. Please read 10s Elliott Wave eBook in the Advanced Techniques section of Premium Forum.
