The Core of AIMS Stress Free Trading Strategy is THE SETUP. The Setup as explained in the book AIMS Stress Free Trading - The Setup, is our Edge.
Once you understand the concept of THE SETUP you shall have 3 Templates to choose from. They are all based on the same concept but slightly different styles.
Note: Please note that the current 2nd edition of The Setup eBook was written more than a year ago and thanks to Steve and others we have further updated and enhanced our Technique and Indicators. In order to stay upto date please watch all the videos in the video section and stay upto date by frequently visiting the forum and reading journals and other sections of the forum. Feel free to ask any kind of question or seek help. We are always here to help.
If you've finished reading and understanding the Setup eBook its time to Read this Topic to Understand the Upgrades to V5.1. http://www.itradeaims.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=501" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Which Template to Use: You have 3 Options
Option 1. Classic Setup - The Classic Setup is explained in this Webinar. The Beginning of Time. http://www.itradeaims.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=92" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. Classic Template is for those who want to trade with less indicators. Basically it gives you more freedom. But keep in mind with freedom comes more responsibility. It has only 3 Indicators and no filters.
This template is the simplest and its best for the trader who likes simplicity and wants to trade in tune with the market. If you're one of those who believe, Less is More" then this is the way forward. Once You've seen The Webinar above you'll know what to do to create this template. Of simply download the following Templates.
Here is What the Classic Template Looks Like.
Download AIMS Classic Template :
Required Indicators:
1. AIMS Wave V5.1 (It's in the V5.1 Upgrade Package)
2. AIMS Box V5.1 (as above)
3. Alligator (Standard MT4 Indicator)
Download AIMS Classic Template with eWaves: (Note that eWave is not part of your Purchase but Premium members can get a 25% Discount off the regular price. Also note that this indicators only costs dimes anyway. Thank you Steve) (eWaves from Snorms of http://www.For-Exe.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. If you're a premium member follow this link to get the password/code to access 25% discount. http://www.itradeaims.net/forum/viewforum.php?f=43" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)
Required Indicators:
1. Snorms eWave V1.0
2. AIMS Box V5.1
3. Alligator (Standard MT4 Indicator)
If you'd like to use Dots with Classic Template here is AIMS Entry Alert V5.3. It gives you options to set your dot to appear either on a cross of green, red or blue or any other combination. It also gives you option to set the filter for black dot to purple, or any other combination. By default for purple you will see a black dot that is against the blue line. Meaning as long as you are on the right side of Gator lines, Classic will give you a signal long or short. I like it this way.
Option 2. AIMS V5.1 Template. (Recommended) This template is used in the Book. It is the most common template and we all use it. The 3rd option may be the latest addition and might prove more attractive but please understand the fact that behind the DA Alert is a Dot and a Dot Alerts you to a possible event in the markets that may be trade-able. We call that The Setup. Template for this can be downloaded with V5.1 Upgrade from the Indicators Download Area. V5.1 is our recommended template. It filters all anti trend/reversal type entries using The Purple Line and the Black Dots.
Here is How AIMS V5.1 Looks LIke
Option 3. AIMS V6.1 Template. This template has all of the V5.1 features plus additional indicator AIMS S1 Alert. Simply Download the V6.1 Optional Upgrade and follow instructions.
Other sub-options
You can also choose to delete V5.1 Entry Alert and rely only on the DA and SA Alerts alone but before that read this. We recommend using and thoroughly understanding the concepts explained in The Setup eBook for AIMS V5.1 Template before you move on to trading without the dots and using only the DA and SA Alerts.
Notes:
The V6.1 Template is in the Premium Section > Advanced Techniques. Link Here. http://www.itradeaims.net/forum/viewtop ... f=34&t=841" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
All the indicators of the The V6.1 template are the same as V5.1 except that it has one additional Indicator the AIMS S1 Alert aka (DA Alert)
Brief Info on the DA (AIMS S1 Alert)
DA alert is the same as V5.1 alert but instead of normal dots it draws arrows when AIMS Gator on 1 and/or two higher time frames are also open. In other words the Double or Single Arrows further Qualifies a Dot.
This means that a DA (A Double Arrow) alert is a Dot which is in direction of Two immediate higher Time frames. E.g. if you see a DA on M1, (Default Settings) this shows that AIMS Gator may be open on M5 (1 immediate higher time frame) and M15 (two immediate higher time frames). So basically DA is exactly as Dot but with a little extra information. The concept of the Arrows is based on my favourite setup. My favorite setup is when Higher Time Frame gators were sleeping and then they recently, note the word recently, opened in the same direction. Read More...
Physicist love equations because equations simplify complex concepts. If I were a physicst and wanted to express Success in the form of an equation I would write it as follows.
Consistent Success = An Internal Belief System which is "I am a Consistently Successful Trader"
Remember Success i a continuum. All the best and may the Pips be with you.

UPDATES 2014 - Volatility is Low! Whats the Solution?
UPDATES 2014 - Volatility is Low! Whats the Solution?
AIMS Stress Free Trading The Setup is a strategy to take advantage of Momentum and Volatility in the markets.
Like any other strategy, you need sufficient amount of pips per candle, session, day or a week. The current volatility of the market has gone so down that our edge does not exist 100% on m1 charts all the time. When market moves only 5 pips within 20 candles its time you shift time frame. We need currency pairs that move on average 80 pips or above per day.
The whole idea of trading m1 is to lower your SL to 10 pip region and then take those 10-20 and 40 pip winners. As of this year, we see that currencies are moving only 30-70 pips per day on average and thus allowing us better trading opportunities on the higher time frames. Higher time frames are easier to trade and when you can have a setup with 15 pip stop loss on H1 you're having good luck. M1 is fast and tiring if you can have the same edge on H1 you'd be happier because trading H1 is relaxing because you can leave your screen and do other things and come back in 55 minutes. H1 can be managed even during office hrs. But if H1 is too slow for you the following combination can be used effectively
M5/M30 M5/H1 M15/H1 or H1/H4 or H4/D1
Note that The Setup book explains a concept and Entry and trade management technique that is universal to All Time Frames. So don't for a second let this thought take strength that this setup may not work or the edge has disappeared. No its the same. We traded H1 in the past as well, only then we often would need 50-70 pip SL and winners of 100-200 pips. Now we have H1 setups with 10-25 pip SL and Winners of 50 150 pips.
Our recommended Time Frames for the same M5/M1 Strategy as explained in the book now is M15/H1. or M5/H1. If you want to trade even higher time frames then consider H1/H4 or H1/D1.
Want to Trade M1?
If you'd still want to trade M1/M5 find yourself a pair that moves more than 80 pips a day and spread is lower than 3 pips. We have found an alternative and a very profitable one. We trade M5/M1 on DAX30. Its an Index of top 30 german companies. It moves 150 pips a day and I can trade itwith 1 pip spread tax free in my country. You may want to find a good broker if outside UK, to take advantage of this. Nasdaq 100 is another one worth looking at as spread is low and good for trading on h1. I can put a trade on h1 with 10 pip SL on Nasdaq. Gold is also good for H1 even M15.
But I trade Dax and 8 major pairs on H1. You may formulate a strategy based on trading on M15/H1 (2-6 pairs max) (the famous setup) or The Fruit (H1/H4) (2-4 pairs max) or The Seed (H1) (4 pairs Max) or just trade S1 on any time frame M5 and above.
