I took about a two week break from trading. Moved back to my home in Texas after living in Brazil for 3 years. And started trading again last Thursday on June 22, 2023.

This post is for Thursday June 22.

4 trades from this day.

3 losses and 1 winner.

1st trade this day was a USD/Swiss trade. Rent. I think this trade technically was ok, I just needed to waited for a deeper pullback and possible retest of the res area it had just broken. I am trying to avoid getting in with the AO is peaking. This trade I think the AO had come down a little bit from the peak but only 1 or 2 bars. So I see how I could have filtered this one. -1R

2nd trade was USOIL, Rent. This was a good trade after it had broken an area and almost made 2R but the entry the EA gave was not good on this one. If the entry had been better this trade would have been break even. -1R

3rd trade was USDJPY. This was a good trade. Impulse move that broke out of an area with a double seed right after. Tried to hold for a bit more than 5R and ended up pulling profit at 4.5R

4th trade was USD/Swiss again. Rent. I tried entering in the Swiss again b/c I saw now that is had broken on the other side of the 50ema on the H1, so I was thinking this was better than my ealier Swiss trade for this reason. But the thing I neglected to look at before entering this trade was realzing that the 5th Wave had already been made.

This journal post cover Friday June 23.
1 trade GBPUSD +2R

Good trade, impulse breakout of an area with retracment back to the area and 10ema at the same time. Only went for 2R here because it was Friday afternoon and I don't like to hold over the weekend.

Journal entry for Monday, June 26, 2023

Rough day, 4 trades, 3 losses and 1 BE

1st trade of the day, GBPUSD. There was a res area right in front of my entry and I even already had it drawn on my chart and could see it when I entered. I believe I was looking for the 5th Wave up to break through the res area. But I don't want to make a trade with an area in front anymore.

2nd trade US500 H1. This also I was trying to anticipate a break of the area, instead of waiting for it to happen.

3rd trade USDJPY. M5. I missed the better set up a bit eariler when the price initally crossed back over the emas to the upside. However it would have still been a rent. Again I was looking for a wave 5 here. I had 2R to the res area. I don't think this was a bad trade.

4th trade US100 M1. This was a good trade on the M1. Impulse move, broke a support area. Went to 2R and I took a small profit before it came all the way back to BE. I usually would call the M1 a ds0 but I usually say that because the EA always gets me in at such terrible prices on the M1. But this time I test the EA on the M1 before entering and saw that I would be put in at a decent price with a decent size stop. So that is why I took an M1 trade this time. ds1

Total -3R

Journal entry for Wednesday June 28, 2023

3 trades, 2 wins, 1 lose, Total 7R

1st trade of the day was EURUSD, there was a TC in the pullback but Immy said this was ok because it was a seed entry. +3R

2nd trade US100 M1. M1 chart again, I am treading very carefully with these m1 trades and only allow the order to be filled if the EA can get me in at a good price with a good size. In this case, it did. And I took 5R. This was only the 2nd pullback in a strong run up. The AO was peaking but on the M1 I know it can still continue up for long time. I'm not as afraid of the AO peaking on the M1 before I enter a trade since the momentum on the M1 can just be crazy.

3rd trade USOIL M5. This was late to the party, If I wanted this one I should have entered on the previous seed. Might have even gotten 2R with that entry. I was looking for the Wave 5 here on this entry. But where I enter was already the 4th pullback. Not the best trade. Had the potential wave 5 going for it and that's it. Otherwise, it was overstreched and time for a deeper pullback.

Journal Entry for Thursday, June 29th, 2023

1 trade, 1 win, 2R

EURUSD M5. There was a small impulse move about 5 bars before I entered that put the price firmly back on the right side of the emas and also... I was looking at the bigger context with the bigger impulse move and from there was waiting for the smaller impulse move that would come before the markets attempt to retest the bottom, or possibly give a higher low, or continue on even lower. I had a few signals in a row that were not triggered after the small impulse move before finally getting in

Monthly total for the month of June 2023
8R

I had a really bad start to the month with a ton of ds0 trades and was still grasping how I like to trade the Banana.

After I took a break and came back my head was in a much better place and I am starting to see how I like to trade the Banana my way.

I'm amazed that I still ended the month with a little over 8R after how many bad trades I took.

This system is powerful. I love it.

Week of trading July 10 - 14, 2023

Going to start posting my journal like this, with a link to my results spreadsheet. Each trade has comments and ds score once you click on them.

I traded all five days like week. I was having a losing week and then on Friday I lost control. I overtraded again. I am down for the week but still not a crazy amount. All I need to one 5R winner to be back on track.

16 trades last week. At least half were unnecessary.

ds score: 8/16

Only 50% of my trades followed my trading plan, and I paid the price last week.

Week of July 17 - 21

Unread post by jaycrocker1 »

Last I thought I mostly stuck to the H1, it was break even week out of 4 trades. I thought I did rough. But Looking back and reviewing all the Banana signals given on the H1 I realized that even the best results for my time zone trading the H1 were similar to what I got. So not too bad. Weeks like this just happen sometimes.

My last trade on the week I was trying to force it and ended up trading the M5. This is my only ds0 for the week. Because it didn't fit my plan of only trading the hourly from here on out.

Ds score 3 out of 4
