Re: The Fruit - A Powerful Trading Strategy

Unread post by Hill »

Hi Immy and friends,
I started trading fruit for the last two weeks. I am currently taking all the fruit signals and if they fail I am doing SAR.

I read the book and it explains about validating fruit with an angle. I have not really understood; can you please explain a bit so that I can grasp the concept of angle?

Is it drawn from the previous fruit to the current fruit to compare the angle with the blue line?
How much price movement is needed to decide on the angle? do we have to measure the moves in pips? or even any move that creates angle is good?

This is the only thing I have not figured out in fruit trading. I think, this is essential to fruit trading.
please help me to understand this angle thing. Thanks Immy

Where to put your SL for SAR Entries

Where to put your SL for SAR Entries
SAR, Stop and Reverse is taken in case of

1. Fruit entry did not work so you stop and reverse in the direction of the trend. 2. You stop and reverse on opposite Fruit signal so you get out of one trade and start another one.
if you stop and reverse, essentially you're doing this, "ok trend did not reverse, lets continue in the direction of the trend" or "ok there is the end of trend and opposite signal lets go with the new trend.

. if you're in the direction of the trend, then obviously Green is your exit. if you're taking new fruit then opposite side of fruit is your exit with another SAR if possible. its a chain.

Here I show another setup taken in the same series of Downtrend on m5. This picture has both v5.1 the Setup and The fruit templates. Pick your choice.

For S1 post: Nice! If I may comment also that M5 looks good. Quite a big move already but still nice retrace on M5, no divergence and everything ready for possible W5 on lower timeframe. S1 is an excellent ticket to find out what it will be. S1's are sooooo juicy. You gotta love them ;)

Frank Asked a Question

The fruit will be taken and add ons where you marked. But S1 and S2 are separate things. yes at times they may appear to be similar but if you use fruit on fruit template you'll see angle better. Its important to understand that for fruit you don't need purple, or dots or target zone or whatever. Fruit is simpler than The Setup but much more busier so best for slightly experienced traders. Setup one will keep you in safe hands and it has higher win rate as well.

Trading is not about how quickly you enter or how quickly you exit, its not about that. its about how long you hold on to those winners. Its about how disciplined you are when it comes to exits.

A lovely fruit campaign at NYO. TravisO or OCHBYN called it as well, it was a good enjoyable session.
