Re: Nikita`s journal
Today LO was full of rents..
1 st trade - didnt mantion divergence, so short shouldnt be done.
Then w5 didnt appear. Here is next. Eu - here i broke the rule - trade what you see, not what you think.
I thought EU is going to break m5 level. M5 gator wasnt clearly trending.

Re: Nikita`s journal
Todays LO was a nice one.
Stepping patter, which tells us about coming of big move. Set 2 PO - buy and sell. The character of the move was not obvious.
1st trade close due to unexpexcted volatility. then reenter. NYO GU trade.
GU was a sh*t today. no moves..

Re: Nikita`s journal
Looked at hte previous post - GU behaved today alike.
Was a nice setup, after LO, but red news made GU paralized.
Next. EU nice breaout. Stepping pattern was there. Nice w5 on EU. We all traded it!

Re: Nikita`s journal
It was a tough day.
3 rents in a raw during LO.
All attempts to take w5 - were unsuccessful.
Everybody who traded today noticed that market was dead.
So here is the question - how to trade in such days?
I was trading only using m5 levels, but what should i do to avoid rents in such days? Or what i could do to define if markets are dead and its better to stay away?

Re: Nikita`s journal
Point Number 1. (for the 67th time) Reduce to 1 Pair let that be EU. (Trade m1/m5 as explained in the BOOK)Nikita wrote:It was a tough day.

Point Number 2. Show me your charts and I will tell you what you have done wrong or right.
Point Number 3. 3 Rents is perfectly fine, given the fact you trade 2 pairs on m1 and m5 (trading m1/m5 and trading m1 and m5 are separate things)
Point Number 4.
Markets are dead,
a. its the general feel of the market, but its ok if you don't have that since you're new. It all comes with time akin to Road Sense, new drivers KNOW all what needs to be done, but they are still "working from the left Conscious brain" and only practice will allow this knowledge turn into "instinct" when then, "subconscious" mind takes over.
b. We look at the range of the market and compare it to what is considered normal for that pair, e.g. its normal and we want to see EU to create range (high of the day and low of the day) of 100 and 150 pips. if it does not do that we can assume markets are lacking momentum.
c. No Chaos: You look at the market (the chart or a few charts) at the "Chaos Influx Points" and no chaos is flowing in.
What are Chaos Influx Points?
Open time, and news times are Chaos Influx points, Chaos = New Incoming Information, and in the markets language these are orders, (opinions of the traders and their respective computers and algorithms) and in forex terms orders are converted into Ticks, ticks are data figures, bid and ask (open high low and close values are formed out these ticks) sent by broker to your mt4 platform, they represent the market activity. MT4 converts them into a chart using Time on X-Axis and Price on Y axis.
If/when there aren't many ticks coming per x number of minutes/seconds and/or if they don't bring in much change of price the charts keep scrolling to the left without creating much angle. e.g a 34 simple moving average is a simple maths calculation. Basically you take the close or median price of the last 34 candles and plot it as a line. connecting dots makes lines. If there is not much change of price the angle of the moving average will be flatter. Markets are supposed to be "lacking momentum" or "dead" because Price (quotes) does not breakout of the tight ranges and even if they do, its not successful and price comes back into the range. (AIMS levels not creating success stepping patterns)
So we look at market how it behaves during such Chaos Influx points. If nothing happens even after news and open times, we usually say, markets are dead.
awaiting the pictures of your rents.

You missed out the time stamps at the bottom, so it took me some time to find it on my charts. However I think the GU char shows trade on m5 from the 1st of april and not yesterday, whereas the corresponding m1 chart you've attached is from Yesterday. It confused the hell out of me, but I found it. :o3 ~x( haha
anyway, both setups were ok keep taking such setups and other higher probability. Setups Setups Setups. Be disciplined and learn to wait!
cheers

Just want to put it here fro myself.
Immy: Sleeping gator means that the AVERAGE OF THE LAST 13 CANDLES suggest that market is going sideways, creating a tight range. and we want to trarde the breakouts of those tight ranges in the direction of the trend. 12:23 PM
Immy: S2 is the second AIMS level after the first aims level out of the sleeping gator's mouth. 12:23 PM

Immy: peak of eWave on ONE side to Peak on the other side. 12:25 PM
Immy: peak to peak usually happen during choppy markets markets. 12:25 PM
Immy: one such peak to peak is right infront of you on GU m5. 12:25 PM

Re: Nikita`s journal
Hello everyone.
YD i was trading LO. Market was dead, so a had a few rents there. But i was enjoying trading so was sure that NYO will ressurect the market.
I had a few things to do, so i was out of my desk when NYO..
I was in hurry to catch some move, and got in pretty serious car accident. Thanks God nobody injured.
So i m writing it mostly for myself, but the idead is that there will be more and more moves, we shouldnt be obsessed with momentum profit.
Long run - thats what has meaning.
Take care!
