Was wondering where you got your excel journals from. ? As i would like to purchase some.
Cheers for now Dennis
Apologies for the delay in sorting this out. I have had a very busy few weeks.
just fill in the data on the month tabs and leave the summary tab alone. I have left my trades in so you can see how I have filled it in. It won't suit everyones needs/requirements but if you can make use of it then that is great.

Hi Richard,
I am really grateful of you helping me and posting your excel sheet.
I was the 8th person to download it and I am very disappointed that the other 7 downloaders did not have the courtesy to thank you. Well .....that Karma could be reflected in their lack of pips.)
Yes most of us freely share on this forum to help each other but I suppose you will always get some who take advantage.
Again Richard warmest thanks to you, Dennis
Often "thank you" is just an empty word. The real gratitude is inside one's heart and beyond words.
Thank you Richard!

Richard, thanks again for sharing excel journal! How do you determine how much time did you use on each trade, especially H1? Do you track the time when you spend on charts?Topher wrote:Dennisnumbat1 wrote:Hi Richard,

Every day I write down what time I sat down at my pc and at what time I turn it off. I then note down when I look at other charts other than M1.
For H4 it is usually a simple look as the candle closes. If there is a setup or I am managing a trade it might take an extra few minutes.
It is not exact to the second. I am just logging everything down so I can look back and see how I am doing, What timeframes, pairs etc are working and the return I am getting for my time spent.

Re: Topher's Journal
Thank you Richard! I also track my PC time, but I do quite a few other things when using PC apart from trading. After reading your reply I think those 5-10 when I focus on H1 or H4 I shouldn't do anything else, just focus on charts and track it as trading time.

Re: Topher's Journal
A very quiet month for me trading Aims.
I only managed just under 13 hours of screen time to take 13 trades and an account growth of +9.52%.
August will be equally quiet for me as I have a mountain of work to get through, I am going on holiday plus I have been fortunate to get Olympic tickets to the Athletics.
I hope everyone has a great August and bags plenty of pips.

Truly amazing. The one thing that's so special about your trading stats is the success rate, the win loss ratio. Indeed, Filtering trades is a great art.
Perhaps there comes a time that you've learned all that is to learn about a system a strategy and perhaps that's when experience and intuition come into play. With decades of experience under your belt you've surely developed that much wanted gift of 'feel for the market'.
Great Trading
Well Done and keep it up....
cheers
