Re: Topher's Journal
Richard, nice trade! Obviously I skipped this one - as it was a black dot trade - even though was looking it real time. Bias was for long and I was waiting price to turn around. It did and you took a nice trade from it. Nothing for me this week yet, except few non-triggered PO's.

Your decision not to take that trade was correct.
Maybe I shouldn't have posted it but I simply wanted to highlight that reading what the charts are telling you is the best indicator there is.
This comes with many hours of chart time (strategy testing and live trading).

Re: Topher's Journal
At least I don't mind for posting such a trade. I think people have posted black dot trades earlier, if I recall correctly. I'll take your post as "training for my trader eye" kind of thingy

Re: Topher's Journal
A nice +1.4% on eur-usd M1.
This was another black dot trade, however, the purple line was just outside the aims box and a very easy decision to go long.
The white dotted line is just below a resistance level so was a logical target. Due to the strong long bias (shown by other timeframes) I took half my profit at this resistance level but decided to let the other half run and take its chance. Once this level was broken I decided to trail the last candle until my sl was hit.
I love it when a plan comes together.

Re: Topher's Journal
~Richard~ It was nice trading with you!
That Black Dot trade was a Double Arrow trade, thats what makes the Black Dot trades what they are, but not all Black DotTrades are DA trades. When a Dlack Dot trade used to be a DA type of setup I would take them, but in the past there was no mechanism to show it on the screen, now we have DA.
Well Done!

Richard, I was in this one also with different exit though. I took 5.5 pips out of it. Good to see that the masters are using the same entries. It was DA + black dot in my charts.

Re: Topher's Journal
A nice way to finish off the week with a +2.48% on eur-usd M1.
It wasn't a classic aims setup but it had enough going for it for me so I went for it.
There was some red cad news a 5 minutes earlier. Spread was still good there was no eratic movements.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Re: Topher's Journal
Now that's a lovely trade Richard. Well done! I know too often we can judge the quality of an entry by the outcome, but in this case win or lose I think the setup was great. I really admire your ability to hold onto your winners and let them run their course.
Enjoy the weekend. The sun is shining here B-)

Thanks for your comments Dave.
Letting the winners run is something that I haven't always been comfortable with. Taking trades with the long term trend and respecting sr levels makes this so much easier. As does screen time.
