Today I have been concentrating a bit more on M5 setups and had a nicely profitable day. I have a feeling M5 may suit me and my timescales - we shall see!

Re: Darren's Journal
Sorry Sam - I didn't see your post as the website was down for a while. I don't think I took any trades during the NY session that day.

What is the Secret of Successful Trading?
The Consistent Pursuit of DS1
The thing that makes me money in trading is when I "Objectively Follow my Trading Plan".
I understand that I can't catch all the moves or all the signals but my objective is to catch THE VALID SIGNALS & ONLY the Valid Signals.

Re: Darren's Journal
Concentrated mainly on M5 with a single M1 trade. Overall just below break even for the day thanks to the Aussie not behaving itself! Roll on tomorrow!

Re: Darren's Journal
I was driving around a lot this morning and missed a couple of profitable setups. Overall slightly down for the day (unless FOMC creates some nice setups!)

I didn't take any trades yesterday and only the one trade today. There was some good moves today but I was out when they setup! Profitable overall though.

Re: Darren's Journal
Just three trades today on EU M1. I didn't take any M5 trades as I was away from my desk at the wrong time! Overall a nice profit. There was a lot more M1 trades available that would have been nicely profitable but you can't take them all!

Re: Darren's Journal
I just traded this morning as it was thanksgiving in the states for the afternoon session. Traded M1 again with Sam in the chat room.
It is very quiet in there these days!

Re: Darren's Journal
Good stuff Darren, I really like that you consistently give the remaining 50% a chance to run. That's the key! Just break even four days a week and then catch that big runner on the fifth day and your equity curve will always look the goods!
As for Chatzy, yeah mate, it's very quiet in there these days. For anyone new to AIMS or with any sort of questions this is the best place to ask and get an immediate response. There's at least a couple people in there every London Open, but we've run out of topics of conversation, especially now that the Australian test side is back on top, the Poms have really quietened down! (party)

Now, I choose to make a profit in trading.

Cheers Dave.
Very quiet day today and only the one trade so far. A small winner.

Some nice little moves this morning. There was quite a few nice M1 setups, but you can't catch them all! I did get an EU move though. Nicely profitable morning.
