Love this short EU session, learning how to apply fruit and working out for myself how it will exist with my current approach.

Most of us grabbed the DAX drop this morning, all for different reasons. This is a pic of what gets me interested, the candle pattern that will give rise to a lower HTF level. I've also thrown one in from AUDUSD that is the same. Open gator, nice momentum. I honestly spend 95% of my time watching M5 charts for this pattern, and then when it shows itself I look to M1 :-bd

Haven't posted for a while but it's just the same setups here! (when I have time with work
)
Trailed this one a bit too closely after a spike down but a nice 35.8 pips. I'm still too quick to grab what's on offer when there's a nice open market move! This was the TZ3 line at the time but it soon became W3.

Re: Dave from Sydney's Journal [Awarded Title: the Box-Trade
Hi everyone,
I had a very good conversation with some close friends over the weekend. After a few beers it's easy to get a little reflective, and the focus of the conversation was on where we thought we were in life compared to our expectations, and then what we need to change to make these expectations a reality. Yes, it was late at night! After family and health, my next clear goal was to continue my journey towards being a professional trader. I identified that what was lacking was the short term sacrifice that in due time leads to great reward and the free time that a profession like this promises. I often say I miss LO due to work, but that doesn't mean I can't make myself available for NYO, or at least look at the charts when I get home to see if there's a clear market trend underway. Anyway, part of this journey that has been lacking of late has been attention to my journal, so here's my two entries from today's LO to get things off in the right direction again.

Re: Dave from Sydney's Journal [Awarded Title: the Box-Trade
Im glad you choose to update your journal again as I enjoy reading it
I recently read a book by Tony Robbins and it motivated the hell out of me. I used to play computer games and watch tv a few hours a day and complain I didnt have enough time to do all the things I wanted to do in a day. After reading the book I choose to cut the cable and stopped playing games to focus on the important stuff. The funny part is I dont even miss games and TV because now I feel like I am moving towards my goals much faster and it makes me feel great. I have a lot more energy simply because my state of mind changed.
So basically what im trying to say is its great that you found the motivation to put more effort into your trading. And if you need some extra help, consider reading books on self motivation if you have not done so already. It really helped me and im sure it can help others too.
