Orange AIMS update

Unread post by kiravon »

Very pleasing.

The AUDCHF trade I closed for just over BE.

The other two I switched down to M5 to trail with an eye for
H1 resistance ( horizontal red line )

It worked out well. +22 pips and +14 pips.

Great start to Monday and seriously easy!

although trailing momentum you do need your wits about you,
trailing more than two pairs and you might make a mistake,
- well thats more speaking for myself I suppose, we all have different
aptitudes

Best picks this week

Unread post by kiravon »

I'm still trading my main H4 AIMS Divergence system.
It has been amazingly profitable for several months
now with no losing weeks. Last week was the least
profitable which I attribute to a very distracting skin
condition which is 90% improved now.

Like fruit it is a reversal system but I would say
far less speculative, in other words it usually wins.

This week I am monitoring seven such trades and
these are the three I am actually trading on my live
account - CADJPY, USDCAD and AUDJPY - a possible
+220 pips up for grabs assuming POs are hit,
I think they will be

I look for divergence, prior daily S/R and aim for
missed weekly pivots.

The original system is break of trendline which
can sometimes be a bit vague so I add break of
AIMS which is a major enhancement to an
already proven system.

Lower Time Frames

Unread post by kiravon »

The above AIMS divergence system is all I really need
but as I understand it only really works on HTFs I
am often limited to around five trades a week and
even then POs are not always triggered

I am very skeptical about this system on LTFs but
it would be great if I could adapt it for M15 - there
could potentially be far more trades

But I don't want to lose out on the high win rate

I just noticed a possible set up on M15 USDCHF

multiple divergences on M15 and also H1 and H4!

also we have reached prior resistance on H4!

so whilst it's not a H4 system it revolves around H4 resistance
and divergence

also there are missed daily and weekly pivots.

Is that relevant on M15 chart. I wouldn't have thought so but it's
worth investigating.

so there is a lot of HTF confluence which I suspect may just tilt
the balance

Divergence in itself is not a winning system there has to be confluence,
especially on LTFs

I'm not overly optimistic but it would be great to have a winning system
you could actually day trade

More Orange AIMS

Unread post by kiravon »

Seven Orange AIMS POs placed, three triggered so far
Average initial risk just 12 pips on M5 TF

This system is ALL about risk management, not
about high win rate

Orange Pendings

Unread post by kiravon »

I actually placed nine POs initially but as price takes off
in opposite direction I cancel them.

At the moment three have been triggered and three POs still
current. These are the three untriggered

If price moves too far away ie over 50% retracement
I am likely to cancel.

EURNZD M15 Divergence

Unread post by kiravon »

This is not as compelling as yesterday's USDCHF trade
but it has most of the ingredients

It has just overshot H1 Support, and has multiple
divergence on both M15 and H1 with missed weekly
pivot on H1

If it breaks up through trendline and breaks AIMS
it should keep moving up in direction of missed pivot

There is an element of wishful thinking here

Fractal EA

Unread post by kiravon »

Lost all seven above, probably Ray got it
right, best as S1 breakout during open

but I've just received a completely free EA
which is really so much fun!

I wouldn't normally touch robots but this is the
first one I've really liked

It trades AIMS ie fractals in quite a clever way

and the biggest value is the education! - to
watch someone trade AIMS 100% void of emotion
and winning! - obviously put it on an AIMS template
to better see what's happening

its some kind of fractal break trailing stop method, obviously
I don't understand how it works but it does seem to be profitable
and fun to watch.

I wouldn't recommend anyone use it on a live account but its fun
and educational on demo

This screenshot is the robot , along with a few others. This trade is
+53 pips and rising on M1!

I don't think I've ever won that much on M1!

I recommend you change the default SL of 100 to maybe 30 or so
if trading M1

Seriously, it has already recouped all losses incurred by human
buffoonery today! - in under an hour!

Not sure if Snorm has already done something like this

A Second LTF Divergence Trade

Unread post by kiravon »

This is the more exciting thing today, my second
Lower Time Frame trade seems to be looking quite
good so far, having broken trendline and AIMS

If it continues to be successful it should yield about three
times more divergence trades per week

Fractal EA

Unread post by kiravon »

I must be the last person on this forum who should
be giving advice about EAs and I look forward to
hearing any suggestions

but for best results it may need a little supervision
ie bidirectional is default, maybe better to choose
long or short in line with HTF (Purple) and not
into Purple, so I have six majors on my screen
each with individual direction setting

Also I have selected 'True' for auto adjusting SL
Lot size based on % risk. I've kept the default 2%

but this is a very powerful program considering
it's free
