Re: Ray's amnesty page
I dont know if any members would have dared to trade today (I certainly didnt) but I noticed there were a couple brilliant opportunities. I watched them develop and hope there will be plenty more cases like this for us in 2013

Re: Ray's amnesty page
This has been one of the most interesting guys this year to me in forex. The name is Alex Hope, he's only a young man of 23, a university dropout who hasn't started losing any hair yet who came to prominence due to his ability to fund rather a high bar bill one night, (over £100,000 for one bottle alone), and also because the regulators wanted to scrutinise his activities. I haven't heard whether they left him alone, but last time I tracked him down he was working from an office overlooking the Bank of England, the name of the firm is Zone Trading, I think it's some kind of arcade where you go and run your own account with better IT than what is made available to us mortals.
I've seen several articles about him, including one here from Sky
http://news.sky.com/story/8100/champagn ... raud-probe" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
If you have a look at the video you'll notice glimpses of his charts, hardly enough to work out his strategy, but there seems to be a series of moving averages up there which look pretty much like the alligator to me! Also a wave histogram which is more likely to be MACD than our AO.
I hope Aims makes some of us even 10per cent as successful as this guy. But of course we don't know what his success is. Maybe I'd measure my success by saying if 10pc of £12000 (£12000) wasn't too much to pay for a party then I'd know that I'd made it!

Re: Ray's amnesty page
Ray
The screen they showed looked like IG Index, 3 moving averages and a macd. But thats not important, whats important is having a strategy and applying it. If one keeps breaking the rules of their strategy, effectively they don't have a strategy. And thats what most of us do. Self Discipline and Patience is the Key!
there were 3 10 pippper setups today on EU!
Imagine what a 10pip a day could do to your account? Most of us have seen it how drastically it (10pips losses per day) takes the account down! it can do the same and better towards the upside!

Re: Ray's amnesty page
You're right about having a strategy
I wouldnt know whether Zone Trading people have any involvement with IG Index, however the guy looks to be surrounded by screens in quite an impressive IT setup. Yet I wouldn't want to travel to the city every day to be in a situation like that; it suits me so well to work without the commute and be able to look out of the window and see countryside. Nevertheless the desk he rents there might be linked up with faster executions than we get, and there'd be companionship with other traders alongside.
Yes, stick to the plan. And continually imagine the power of 10 pips a day. 2500 pips at the end of 2013 would make such a nice result to all of us! In November I had a plan to withdraw from the day when my daily target was met, and I think that's what I'll revert to in January.

Re: Ray's amnesty page
Seems like you've had a really good day Immy
Glad to know Aims still works well in these conditions.
I've noticed ozzy dollar tanking along with dollarcad, cable and euro
It is still possible for markets to gap up or down when opening Thursday, so I'm treating this like a Friday, and I won't probably get back into gear until next Tuesday

Re: Ray's amnesty page
Ray!
Believe that AIMS is YOUR system and that IT IS Successful. One cannot trade a system successfully until and unless one has great belief in the system. As long as one does not fully trust the power of their strategy one will have the necessary confidence in themselves and their strategy. We need to stop looking for holy grail systems, because the holy grail is within us. Establish a Goal, Believe You can do it, and get on with it! Its that simple.... though it is very hard ,i know!
Right then! I'm off! it was a good trading day indeed! no rents! cheers once again
Merry Christmas , wish you all a great Christmas Eve!
