slump thoughts continue
Like always in my slumps i am watching back towards my start.
I was trading a very few but high probability setups.
Less is more.
I never traded against the HTF purple then. That made me think.. why do i do that now?
the "where is the impuls" made me look for impuls and the context faded out. and the setup became more important. IT IS NOT.
The context is everything!!!
I want to accept the weekness of not seing the market trendchances. I need a line or a solid rule.
I want to trade in line with the htf trend. i dont want to chase the fluctuations that cause cute patterns in a just moving up and down market.
I want to accept that the trades comes rare. Maybe not even one/ day.
I have a pretty solid proof ( my journal) that i do a h*ll lot better when having these mechanical rules.
Insted of taking alot of trades i can take the ones i a strong moving market.
The uncertainty of not 100 % knowing if i should trade here breaks me down.
So i dont really have a solid ds1/Ds0 parameter on that issue.
To be continued

Tuesday 2022-09-27 LO
There is more than enough spinning in my head at the moment.
Here are the trades of this morning.
I can clearly see that the first trade of today was wishful thinking.
The other two was in line with the edge.
I think i have landed in a proper way (in line with the edge) to decide the overall direction of the market.
To use the HTF AO.
It is without even doubts puts me in the correct wave. and gives me a clear no trade zone.
It might not give the overall banana backtesting a better result, but by eliminating the grey zone for me in the descicion making it gives me a better structure around my trading.

what is keeping you from trading the exact way you did, when you felt comfortable with what you did and it brought you success?eaxh wrote: 27 Sep 2022, 08:27 Like always in my slumps i am watching back towards my start.

Wednesday 2022-09-28 LO session
no relevant news today.
I placed one trade today.
M5 was moving down, broke the levels to the left, made a pause and continued.
So context correct
Then the setup. TTRP. Correct.
So a Ds1
i stopped the overthinking by looking at the rules, the rules sais Ds1 so NEXT.
Wait for a new context and a possible new setup.

What is the Secret of Successful Trading?
The Consistent Pursuit of DS1
The thing that makes me money in trading is when I "Objectively Follow my Trading Plan".
I understand that I can't catch all the moves or all the signals but my objective is to catch THE VALID SIGNALS & ONLY the Valid Signals.
My Deathbed Advice "5:1 Reward to Risk Ratio".
Yo, banana boy!

I see the same as you.
I have been thinking if the HTF makes a pause its like a reset and tafter that one can take a pullback again.
But now i see that HTF needs to make a proper pullback before starting at pullback 1.

No relevant news today. Although german bank holiday.
If there is a setup i will take it.
the morning started in cluster. moved up and down within levels.
After a while M5 did an impuls and made a new high. When the pullback ended and broke it with a TC i found a valid setup on M1.
