With the introduction of In-Built Drag and Drop Trade Levels into MT4 things have change a bit for good and bad.
I found it hard to work with lines etc because if I drew a horizontal line and wanted to drag it, I sometime would end up dragging SL, PO or TP levels. I was getting p***d untill I found a remedy.
Go to Tools (menu) then Options and select Charts tab in the pop up window. Click and select the first option and its sub option as in the picture attached.
From now on, if you want to change a PO, SL or TP level it wont respond to your random clicks without pressing the alt button on your keyboard. Thank God, problem solved...
Moreover, if you simply put a PO and then it gets triggerred and you don't have your SL and TP set, simply drag the Order Line down or up to set TP or SL as per instructions below
Buy Orders (trades already triggered)
Set Up Stop Loss Level using Drag and Drop:
Drag the order line down and drop to your desired price level below your entry level, this should setup the Stop Loss. Watch the ends of the dotted line it counts pips for you too.. cool
Setup Target Points or Take Profit Levels:
Click and Drag the order line above the entry level and drop at the desired price level for exiting the trade with profit. Again watch the ends of the lines to see how many pips etc.
Change PO Level: You can simple drag and drop the PO price level line to any new position. Note that ff you have set up a stop loss level at the time of entering your pending order the stop loss level will be dragged as well, keeping the same number of pips as it was originally. You can then drag and drop this to a different level if need be.
Do the opposite for Sell orders.. Enjoy
