The B Trap

Unread post by immy »

Here I'll explain

1. What is the B trap?
2. How to identify it?
3. How to avoid or exploit it? and
4. how to take advantage of it?

It is a concept related to Principle C. If you don't know what is Principle C then check out this post here viewtopic.php?f=43&t=618

According the Elliott Wave concept, most pullbacks or corrections have a zig zag pattern we call the ABC.
The rule is that within wave A you'll find 3 waves. But sometimes even wave A can have a complete wave 1 to 5 sequence.

Wave A = abc or 1-5 waves

Wave B = abc: In most cases Wave b is composed of ABC Correction itself.

and Wave C = Most often 1-5 waves. Wave C can also have an ABC pattern inside it but more often than not it has an internal structure of a wave 1-5. In other words, you'll find an Elliott Wave sequence inside a Wave C.

Bearish Wave Example:

This is what happens when the market pulls back or corrects within a Bearish Trend.

So after a Wave A up, there is a Wave B down. We know that Wave B often has abc sequcne inside it. But within the ab sequence the wave B creates an aims level below/above the peak of B.

It often appears like nice 1-2 (setup) and often the naughty spikey C of B kicks you in and gets you out Quick.

The B -Trap
This is What We Call The B trap, just like it happened right now. (in the picture below)

Below I have taken a picture live and marked it with B trap. At this point in time-space, it appears to be the B Trap. I'll update this with another picture later if it turns out to be the B trap. We will be having a wave C up and it may form a PC on m5. We shall see

Yes, the following picture now shows that our analysis was correct. We have a B trap and this abc has translated itself and shown on m5 as a PC.
