Re: Michael's (zlabis) Journal [The Magician]
Hi Hill,
thank you for your kind words. It's too much of honour. I've got influenced by many other AIMSter's journals. It's just my attempt to keep my documentation up to date. The form has developed over the last months and I'm really using it as my main documetation. Therefor I'm expending quite an effort into my journal because I can learn very much about my trading by analyzing every session apart from active chart time.
Cheers

Tue. Jun 16, 2015
Screen time FO + LO-session 8:00 - 8:15 and 8:45 - 10:15 (GMT+2) M1 DAX only - LIVE
FO didn't offer any setup in the first few minutes so I took a break and came back 15 minutes to LO.
Trade 1/20-15:
A quick look at M5 and H1 showed that there was a strong down trend with good down momentum. But, as Immy is always pointing out, LO brings new information, so pre-LO signals and patterns get less reliable after LO. It's the reason, why I placed POs for long AND short above and below the AIMS box, a few minutes before LO. The short PO got triggered 2 minutes to LO. but price didn't go further down and got stuck in sidway movement for more than 10 minutes. I wanted to keep init SL untouched above AIMS-box at entry but somehow SL got trailed as AIMS level stepped down where I got stopped out. Maybe an EA-error.
After a PC-like BDB to the downside, I took another entry, which was actually the add on of the interrupted init trade. I let trade run and exited at a strong counter fruit. I didn't SAR because I was already happy with my result of around 65 Pips.
In hindsight I should have added on at least once more but, at the time I took add on entry, chart didn't look that clear and promising. It looked somehow choppy again. Of course, later it unfolded a beautiful down-trend but then it was a bit late for me to add on.
Trade 2/20-15:
I decided to stay a bit longer today and, as the possible wave 4 showed a small AA-Fruit at Fibonacchi retracement level of 38.2%, I took it without hasitation and it started promising by going through gator easily. Unfortunately it reversed with a good up-fruit but I was so biased to wave 5 to the down-side that I neither realized it as an exit signal nor as an SAR signal.
Anyway, being in w4 or some other form of correction, I wanted to keep SL tighter and wanted to exit trade if price would have closed above whole gator. But right the candle which was my exit signal bar gained speed and hit init SL above Fruit, so rent instead of +/-0.
Trade 1/20-15: DS = 1, SL = 17.4 + 20.0, Result = - 9.0 + 74.4 = + 65.4 Pips
Trade 2/20-15: DS = 1, SL = 16.3, Result = - 16.3 Pips
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Today's result: + 49.1 Pips , DS = 2 / 2, 1.75 hrs

With 30 Pips daily in average, we can increase our accounts ca. by the factor 50(!!!) in one trading year (roughly 40 week), with an average risk of 1% and 15p per trade trade and weekly compounding. It takes us about 7 weeks for doubling.

My request for this bit of data had this motive behind it. I thought it might stir your imagination and if in case you have not yet realised then you might do so. I can see that you have realised that based on your previous successful months you can "conclude" and build a future projection and plan based on this data. 35 pips a day makes a man healthy wealthy wise and keeps the jobs away!

Screen time FO + LO-session 8:00 - 8:15 and 8:45 - 9:30 (GMT+2) M1 DAX only - LIVE
No setup during first few minutes after FO so didn't take entries during FO session - I simply made a break until about 10 minutes to LO.
Trade 3/20-15:
A few minutes before LO, AIMS box tightened, so I placed POs for both directions above and below box. Short PO got triggered and it broke out to downside strongly. I exited and reversed into Trade 4/20-15 at a strong counter fruit which. This pattern, a reversal fruit after first breakout, takes place rather often, so I was confident to SAR and not only take long while letting short run.
Trade 4/20-15:
SAR of Trade 3/2-15 at strong counter fruit as mentioned above. It went through gator easily and formed a spiky pinbar at the current day-high. It was a very good and strong signal again so I decided to SAR again (into trade 5/20-15).
Trade 5/20-15:
Very good SAR entry into biggest move of early LO session. Didn't add on because for me add on level was a rather old AIMS level. Unfortunatly I was a bit fooled by protective emotions so I mistakenly judged move already in stage 3 and exited according exit rules above candle which closed above green gator. The proper analysis would have been that move was still in stage 2 and needed some more room to unfold instead of keeping stop loss tight. I exited that trade with profit but DS = 0. Need to focus more on add ons and "correct" exits again ;-)
Trade 3/20-15: DS = 1, SL = 14.4, Result = + 5.0 Pips
Trade 4/20-15: DS = 1, SL = 21.9, Result = + 30.3 Pips
Trade 5/20-15: DS = 0, SL = 20.0, Result = + 10.7 Pips
------------------------------------------------------------------
Today's result: + 46.0 Pips , DS = 2 / 3 , 1.00 hrs

Screen time FO + LO-session 8:00 - 8:15 and 8:45 - 10:00 (GMT+2) M1 DAX only - LIVE
Today at FO, DAX started rather unsettled - a 50p down gap followed by a steep 60p up move in about 5 minutes before everything went on smoothly. Although it offered a fruit at the bottom of that up move, I didn't take it because signal was at the opening candle, which I usually don't take. After 10 or 15 minutes, I took a break and came back 15 minutes before London Open. 6 Minutes to LO there showed up a good down fruit, which I took. It was my first trade of the day.
Trade 6/20-15:
Big angle, nice pinbar, small risk (only 9.5p SL) so no doubt taking it. Unfortunately it failed even before LO at init SL with a small rent. Next.
Trade 7/20-15:
It was the breakout trade at LO. Entry was at break of last candle, which was a down fruit where I had placed a short PO below and a long PO above it. It simply didn't work out either. If it didn't work out, I wanted to close it below green gator but disaster SL was at red gator, where I got kicked out with smalle rent again. Next.
Trade 8/20-15:
This up-fruit signal was a strong one (angle, reversal not even 10 minutes after LO) and after being triggerd it looked very promising. A rapid move into gator - where it got stuck and where it reversed. I got the feeling that DAX had gone into choppy mode again, so I decided to move SL to entry level, where it got hit with +/-0.
Trade 9/20-15:
Although I had the feeling that we were still in choppy mode, I took that good S2 down with good AIMS-box stepping pattern. Unfortunately I had overseen that SNB's Libor rate was close to be announced. As I realized that, I pulled out the trade with roughly +/-0 because I don't wanted to end up with a negative account if prices go crazy as happened to many brokers and traders as SNB unleashed Swiss Franc some weeks ago.
Trade 10/20-15:
VERY nice fruit signal (big angle, too far too fast, rubber band principle) which gave an entry with 4p slippage and which simply didn't work out and got exited at init SL above fruit with rent. Next.
Trade 11/20-15:
Another VERY good fruit signal, if not even better than last one. Here it seemed that it would work out better and I added on at next AIMS level, but again, it reversed after stalling inside gator. Because it gone already quite far before it reversed, I moved my SL to entry level where it had been hit for both positions with small rent again.
I was ok with my trading because market didn't offer many opportunities for me until that point and after Trade 11/20-15 I closed chart an left. Later, when I did screenshots, I saw that I was only one fruit away from a bigger winner - but anyway, that's trading. We can NEVER, EVER know what happens next. We can only follow our rules ;-)
Trade 6/20-15: DS = 1, SL = 9.5, Result = - 9.5 Pips
Trade 7/20-15: DS = 1, SL = 20.1, Result = - 15.2 Pips
Trade 8/20-15: DS = 1, SL = 12.8, Result = - 0.3 Pips
Trade 9/20-15: DS = 1, SL = 17.6, Result = + 0.8 Pips
Trade 10/20-15: DS = 1, SL = 18.0, Result = - 18.0 Pips
Trade 11/20-15: DS = 1, SL = 12.4 + 29.7, Result = - 0.3 - 17.8 = - 18.1 Pips
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Today's result: - 60.3 Pips , DS = 6 / 6 , 1.50 hrs
Secod bigger rent day of the week but I can't do anything against it and it's ok. During my session DAX was choppy most of the time so I kept my SLs tighter which helped me to stay in the session longer - only one attempt away from catching a good move. Without tighter SLs I had hit my daily SL rather early.

Fri. Jun 19, 2015
Screen time FO + LO-session 8:00 - 8:15 and 8:45 - 10:30 (GMT+2) M1 DAX only - LIVE
No setup at FO again and difficult conditions at LO breakout as it bounced up and down in a big box where I got kicked out twice before the breakout upwards took place (Trade 8 + 9/20-15). But the up move wasn't smooth at all. Always bounced back to green gator and formed 2 very good counter fruits (Trade 11 + 12/20-15). Although I was able to catch the moe with two add ons (Trade 10/20-15) the counter trades ate away the profit.
As up move was over I forced an entry without clear setup (Trade 13/20-15). It was somehow a counter breakout. I only took it because AIMS-level was already below red gator. So DS = 0 for that. Addon was ok. It was obvious that we were in w4 so I wanted to keep SL tight but all of a sudden a whipsaw kicked me out before a proper ext signal showed up.
During w4 there showed up two strong AA fruits which I took (Trade 14 and 15/20-15). First one didn't work out at all and second one went through gator but stalled there and didn't go further towards TZ1 (61.8% fib exp).
Was a rather tough session for me although I mostly followed my rules but got another bigger overall rent of - 60.2 Pips, next.
Result of week 25 - 15.06-19.06.2015 - M1 live:
Mon. 15.06. - 86.5 Pips, DS 3/3, 1.25 hrs, M1
Tue. 16.06. + 49.1 Pips, DS 2/2, 1.75 hrs, M1
Wed. 17.06. + 46.0 Pips, DS 2/3, 1.00 hrs, M1
Thu. 18.06. - 60.3 Pips, DS 6/6, 1.50 hrs, M1
Fri . 19.06. - 60.2 Pips, DS 7/8, 1.75 hrs, M1
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Result ...... - 111.9 Pips, DS 20/22 (90.9%), 7.25 hrs
This week didn't offer to many good opportunities to me during my sessions. Once I missed a nice move by one attempt but rest of the week was nothing for me. Main issues this week were 1. no setups at FO and 2. big SLs in combination with rather small and erratic movement in one diriction at LO breakout. But as I have my daily SL, I keep on taking breakouts and Fruits as I used to do during last sucessful months.

Re: Michael's (zlabis) Journal [The Magician]
You got the longs after London open nicely. Otherwise London open can be nasty sometimes. But when the move starts without sudden spikes, let's enjoy it!
