A Great Example of Apple and Hunt Signals

Unread post by immy »

Here's a spot on example of how we trade the Apple and Hunt signals or rather I should say how we make use of these entry signals to get into the markets in the most profitable way. [Ignore the fact that its an m5 chart. We do the same technique on higher time frame frames. ]

How do I Check my H4 Charts?

Unread post by immy »

How do I Check my H4 Charts?

I'm gonna be checking signals the way I did not used to in the past. We have two methods. Method one is looking for the pattern as a whole using the last 100-140 bars and some analysis of hte 5XHTF and then wait for signals. The second method, that suits the higher time frames is as follows.

I'll simply wait for signals. That's useful to me because now I have time to analyse charts after signal. So lets say I'll be on the neutral mind set without looking or waiting for a signal within an already identified setup. I'll stay neutral until I receive a signal then upon receiving the signal I will focus on those charts alone. I'll apply the flow chart questions, apply the filter questions and figure out where is the signal within the wave structure.

After that I'll make my trading decision of either taking the signal or leaving it based on solid grounds. and then SHARE...

Very nice, I tried doing it on lower timeframes but the signals comes too fast and doesnt give time to analyze after, so we always had to be ahead waiting for the signal, now with H4 this sounds great!

Thats exactly what I felt like. Hence I always looked out for the Hunt or Setup 1 pattern where we look for entry signal. It sort of makes the signal redundant if you like. But still waiting for signal helps me stay disciplined. Otherwise I can be Donald Duckump and bark anytime I like... (trade whenever and whatever I like... I can do that, but I won't survive long)

This can indeed be traded with simply eWave or let me save Steve a few words, or eWH or AO or AIMS Wave and the naked chart with probably the box on. ..
the entry, confirmation, final confirmation, setup is the PB Fruit candle marked with Thumbs up.

which charts will I trade on the hourly?

The answer is simple, its got to be the major 6-8 pairs only due to spread costs.

When will I drop to H1
I will drop to H1 only when the gator on H4 is open and trend is confirmed.

The Progression from Stage 1 to 2 and 3 - How does it work
Its a subjective, no hardline rather grey fusion border thing with stages... you jump from one to another as you
gain experience and become more disciplined.

as long as we understand the concept of the hunt pattern, that is the Setup 1 pattern, after the 5 batches,
if completed with 80% success rate, you have the choice to expand your trading by introducing Hunt Seed
signal and do another 2-3 batches and if you like then introduce the cherry as well...

later perhaps you can add The classic breakout instead of the dot alert, by applying the same principle..

the setup pattern for all these entries is the same... you want to see a 3 and 4... for Setup 1 / classic breakout
and you want to see a new peak and pullback for hunt signals.

Is there Divergence?

Unread post by immy »

The Hunt Filter Rules.

Is there a divergence. Earlier last week I posted a video about how to apply the "is there divergence" filter rule. Here is another graphical example. Link to video post here http://www.itradeaims.net/forum/viewtop ... =40#p26331

The following graphics are taken from GBP/USD chart on the 6th of March 2017.

First look at this picture. Do you see the divergence?
Is this wave 5 of 3.png
How to count waves properly. How to confirm that your current time frame count is correct and how to know if the peak of AO has actually peaked. I.e. a peak of ao , a completed peak means that the underlying wave must have completed its 1-5 cycle.
Is this wave 5 of 3 - 2.png
and now look at his expanded version

Sometimes its diverging but not showing it

Unread post by immy »

Sometimes its diverging but not showing it

At times you'll see a strong peak, with no divergence but if you wnat to see the correct count, make sure you expand that peak into 100 (minimum) and 140 (maximum) bars...

So look at this image of AUD/USD H4 char.t do you see divergence?
No Divergnce 1.png
No Divergnce 2.png
and now the expanded version... that shows not one or two, but triple divergence
No Divergnce 3.png
