Re: How to Catch HOT Pairs - Trading Wave C
Building on the example above. We would monitor our charts on our chosen trading time frame which is H1. We can see now that the move down was an impulsive type wave 4.immy wrote: 19 Oct 2017, 12:46 There are times when things are moving and you are very clear on the direction but price on the H1 chart is clearly not setting up due to filter rules.
E.g. USD/JPY H1 19 Oct 2017, picture below:

Price clearly going down but its going down off the pak of a wave, against gator and towards purple. yet if you look closely there was a clear breakout at london open candle. A huge big candle. We saw that this move was not isolated event. Since all yen pairs moved it was a yen move. As soon as there is a consolidation based one or two "sideways" type of candles, you can drop a time frame and find a signal. You will find all of the signals from Apple to Setup 1/2 and Hunt signals. The longer the consolidation, i.e the more sideways candles on h1, the more chances of Setup 1, the shorter the consolidation, in time, i.e. less number of neutral candles, the more chances of Hunt signals on the lower time frame.
we know yen was HOT today. all yen pairs moved. so that is the pair you want to trade. And on m15 you see a lovely hunt signal that has hit BE easily and smoothly and may even hit 2R near TZ1 nicely.
An impulsive Wave 4 would normally allow you to trade the c within it. That is where you'd see the Setup, Apple and/or Hunt Signals as in the example above.
After it touched Purple it stopped going down and then later created not a perfect but a possible setup 1 into wave 5 up. the point is it did go into wave 5. though not in the hours when we trade.

ps: its very interesting following a pair like so. (day to day structure/wave analysis) and perhaps the correct and enjoyable way. Yet you don't always have to trade what you see.
