3. Symbol/TF: AUDUSD M5
4. Signal Type / Direction : Setup 1 / sell
5. Comments and Feelings at the Time of Taking The Trade: [Recorded Later] A wave 3 had been created followed by a cross of ZL on the AO, alligator was crossing.
6. Comments and Trades After Exiting the Trade: I think I failed to look back further on this chart where there is a clear wave 3, 4., 5. I think what I was looking at was part of a larger abc corrective range. Number of bars from top of wave 3 was only 52, so possibly too small to make a decision. Stopped out for a loss

3. Symbol/TF: EURAUD M5
4. Signal Type / Direction : Setup 1 / Buy
5. Comments and Feelings at the Time of Taking The Trade: [Recorded later] we had had an impulse wave up and then a retracement for wave 4, price was holding above the purple line. Box was a bit big, so stop went under bar with blue dot.
6. Comments and Trades After Exiting the Trade: Trade was only just tipped in and stopped out within 2 bars. On further consideration, there was not enough bars in the setup pattern (only 55) so should not have considered it.

Re: Alina's Trade Journal
1. Trade Number: Batch 3 Trade 9a & 9b
2. Date/Time: 26/5/2020 3.21 & 3.23
3. Symbol/TF: HK50 M5
4. Signal Type / Direction : Setup 1 / Sell
5. Comments and Feelings at the Time of Taking The Trade: Pro: Red dot, Purple line well above, Alligator - green line converging on red
Con: Wave 3 shown. AO close to zero, but hasn't crossed
I took this trade on an initial analysis and got immediately stopped out. Thinking that I had done something wrong with dragging my stop loss, I re-entered and then realised that the buy-sell gap was enormous which I had not noticed.
I am entering with really low trade sizes compared to my account size for practice purposes so I moved my stop higher to above the purple line to account for this gap.
6. Comments and Trades After Exiting the Trade: With more clarity, I would not have taken this trade. Stopped out for a loss

Re: Alina's Trade Journal
This is where I paused trading until I had uploaded all of my trades in batch 2 and 3.
Things I have noticed in doing this process
- when a setup 1 happens properly, it is really clear
- I am unclear about how many bars need to be in the setup before a setup 1 occurs
- There is definitely value in recording your trades as you go. I would love to have captured my thoughts on the trades as I entered them and also known the reasons for some of the stop movements. This is the value of an updated journal.

1. Trade Number: Batch 3 Trade 10
2. Date/Time: 27/7/2020 9.22
3. Symbol/TF: USDJPY
4. Signal Type / Direction : Setup 1 / Sell
5. Comments and Feelings at the Time of Taking The Trade: I was patient today and waited for the setup to appear. I placed my order, stop (10.4 pips) and TP at 21 pips so 2R (ish). TZ1 was a bit lower so i chose about 1/2 way between the bottom of wave 3 and the TZ.
6. Comments and Trades After Exiting the Trade: On entry, initially the market moved steadily down for 5 bars, but them created a pinbar. I felt concerned that this would indicate a turn in the market and its low was short of my TP by 2.5 pips. I hovered in my decision to get out immediately as the market went higher for the next 4 bars. I unavoidably had to leave my desk, so moved my stop to the 61.8 fib retracement line which was at my break even. On my return I had been stopped out out breakeven.

Re: Alina's Trade Journal
Very Good Observation. 100% agreed. The Best signals are CLEAR signals... You know EXACTLY what setup it is. IF you're unsure, and later you find out it was a clear signal that means you're still learning. Gradually the time gap reduces and there comes a stage when you are able to foresee a possibility of a setup well in advance.hanreali wrote: 26 Jul 2020, 14:16 This is where I paused trading until I had uploaded all of my trades in batch 2 and 3.

I have a suggestion. I've noticed you trade on the M5 time frame. IF true, then make sure you also upload a picture of the 5XHTF chart. in this case the picture would be M30 or H1 chart. This will eliminate 50% of your losing trades
Keep at it...
