Batch 3 Trade 18

Unread post by eaxh »

Trade Number: Batch 3 Trade 18
2. Date/Time: 25/1-21
3. Symbol/TF: GER30/ M1

4. Signal Type / Direction : Setup 1 Sell

5. Questions Before Trade is Taken:
a) How do I feel before setting the order? Kind of good… neutral
b) Intuitive Signal? All god, to be honest i had a good feeling about it even that i was very aware of the H1 low reaction.

c) Is this technically The Setup 1?
on m1, yes i thought so. And the fact that the SL-be level was inside the peak of 3 gave me confident as well. Because then it dont have to break the level again for it to not be a loosing trade.

6. Post Trade Questions:
a) How Do I feel after closing the trade? Good, trying not to be overexited. this trade is just one of many.
b) Have I done well and why? Yes, because i took the setup, when the market was mooving. And the sl- be was inside the level so i
so I thought I was taking a calculated risk.
And i am proud i didn´t intervened.
c) Have done badly and Why?
d) What Could I have done differently? Nothing, i had a good feeling and this time it payed off.

7. DS For this Trade: 1
8. DS Running Total: 12/18 (66%)

i am up for all improvements :)

As I understood it, a box of 20 pips was okay. and that I thought the proportion to wave was symetric.

But yes, i absolutley understand what you mean!

Batch 3 Trade 19

Unread post by eaxh »

Trade Number: Batch 3 Trade 19
2. Date/Time: 26/1-21
3. Symbol/TF: GER30/ M1

4. Signal Type / Direction : Setup 1 Buy

5. Questions Before Trade is Taken:
a) How do I feel before setting the order? neutral
b) Intuitive Signal? It had gone up alot from the LO, but as the m5 looked like it had a s1 and was heading even higher i had a good feeling. At least i think it will go up to the Sl-be level.

c) Is this technically The Setup 1?
yes. Impuls, zigzag pullback, red and green toutching, ao close to zeroline and a tight box. M5 open gator and tin a pullback from what looks like the internal wave 3 of 5.

6. Post Trade Questions:
a) How Do I feel after closing the trade? Okej, i know that the outcome of just this one is random. it almost hit my tp at 2R but then came back to BE. but it feel okej.
b) Have I done well and why? Yes, i acted on the setup and i did not intervened
c) Have done badly and Why? There was a level inside the s1, but as i saw it as an abc sideways pullback, that could have been tghe b-trap so this signal i took it more likely to shoot up.
d) What Could I have done differently? I believe i did the right thing.

Batch 3 Trade 20

Unread post by eaxh »

I have made it!!!! The third batch is done  :D  :D
I will write a review, but what i can say already is that this batch has been a gamechanger for me. I dont feel fear anymore trading.

Trade Number: Batch 3 Trade 20
2. Date/Time: 27/1-21
3. Symbol/TF: GER30/ M1

4. Signal Type / Direction : Setup 1 Sell

5. Questions Before Trade is Taken:
a) How do I feel before setting the order? neutral
b) Intuitive Signal? I have a feeling that the downmove isn´t over yet.
c) Is this technically The Setup 1?
yes, not the prettiest one, but the rules are there. Wave 4 did not retraced above the ”wave 2”. It retraced deep though. So i see a setup 1.
Explenation about the TP. I´ve seen in the forum that if the wave retrace more than 50%, one can use the tz2. Please correct if thas is not the case anymore.

6. Post Trade Questions:
a) How Do I feel after closing the trade? Good. The entry slipped, so the sl was bigger than intended. It was 20 pips originally.
b) Have I done well and why? Yes, i followed my rules and did not touch it. I acted on the setup and weighed the desicion objectivly.
c) Have done badly and Why?
d) What Could I have done differently? Maybe had my stoploss tighter, slightly above the first signal candle. That would have given me 2R

7. DS For this Trade: 1
8. DS Running Total: 14/20 (70%) EDIT- the overall score is 80%, i misscalculated during the batch

Review Batch 3

Unread post by eaxh »

I am proud of myself. From August, I have been sitting at the computer at LO and I have not given up.
And spent the rest of my time studying.

I've given a damn about achieving this goal that I have. To be able to make a living out of trading.
I have a long way to go, but I must not forget how far I have come!

This Batch took just over 2 months to complete. Considering how selective I was in the beginning and middle,
it's a perfectly okay time, I think.

RESULT DS: 80%
RESULT: 4,5R

I can sum up the beginning of this batch with one word… CONFUSION.

I filtered most of what I thought looked strange. Could be as little as ONE candle in wave 3 that made me suspicious.
The reason for that was because I did not want to take a setup that went to rent that I could not argue as a perfect setup.

During this batch, I have gained a greater perspective on what constitutes a good setup.
Even though I'm not 100% sure all the time, I have gained more confidence about it.

I have gained greater insight into what I should put great emphasis on (levels, peak of wave 3 too close, etc.)
and things that may not be as important (how some candels look in wave 3)

The biggest difference after this batch is that I have understood probability thinking.
I have realized that the outcome of this particular trade is not the important thing.
The important thing is to take a trade that I can call "a good setup". If it is rent, BE or 2R settles.
I have gone from being afraid to take a trade because I do not want this one to be rent,
to thinking “this is a setup and can be a winner or a loser.

What brings me forward in my trading life are losers, BE and winners.
I have also realized that if I happen to take a ds0 trade, it's not the enf of the world, I'm only human.
I´ve learned to trust the statistics.

What I need to work on more.
Remember to check how big SL I need.
Raise my DS score.
Work on my self-confidence regarding my assessment (gets analysis paralysis sometimes)

I will from now on just Continue, continue and continue 😊

Batch 4 Day 1

Unread post by eaxh »

Welcome Batch 4!

I will continue to only take S1 on this batch as well. I want to gain more confident and have a higher DS1 score before adding more entrysignals.

One change.
If i come across a good signal but with a slightly big box, i will consider to take it with a tighter sl ( Above the gator, or at the new possible forming fractal) instead of filtering an otherwise good signal.

Today i was very excited so start on my fourth batch.

There was a S1 witch a huge box, and i did not find a good place where i could have set the SL inside it that made sense to me.
So i did not take it.
But i am thinking.. how could i have traded this. I am sure there would be similar situations in the future when i have advanced to another level.

Can I take it as a boxbreak(M5 level) with a fixed sl on 10/15 pips?

Hey Emma

Been reading your journal with great interest. Some good work going on here. I commend you on this. And I can assure you that your understanding of the Setup 1 is spot on now. I think its is time you learn to apply a more robust Trade Management. One that allows you to extract profit from your good trades. We shall discuss in the chatroom when we get to meet next time

cheers and have a good weekend.

Ps: when you're ready, go over all of your good setup 1's and ask how could you have managed this trade differently, for stage 2 so that you could have extracted profit from it? It will give you some ideas. one hint: Small box = 2R hit easily.

That's a great question and really love the way you're thinking these days. That's how you should think as a trader.
How could I have traded this better? I have shared a video last night about YD's analysis. I have talked about this bit in the video hope that helps.
