The setting in the screenshot, those are somewhat different from the default settings of the Banana indicator.immy wrote: 26 Mar 2022, 17:35 This is where you will learn how to Use the BANANA Indicator.

Are these settings in the screenshot the right ones to use?
How can you "save" them in the Banana indicator so you don't have to check it every time and adjust te settings?

The default settings are different. The settings in the screenshot are my settings. So you should use these. To keep the settings saved, you need to Save the template. Once you change the settings in the banana indicator, save the chart as a template. The saved template retains all the settings. You can also use the Save settings option in the indicator. I will show it in this video here

Best Prop Firm for Swing Traders
Let's say you're a Swing Trader, Can you do FTMO or myforexfund challenge and achieve 8% or 10% within a month?
I think it's gonna depend on the market conditions. If the market is bombastic as it was in Feb and March, all thanks to the unfortunate situation in Europe.
But in general, achieving a 10% target at will within 4 weeks is going to be at best a hit and miss. These prop firms are not stupid, they know what they are doing and that is why they have set a 10% target. They know that only 8% of the people will be "lucky" enough to achieve those targets. This would allow them to make money from people who buy the package.
If 8% of the traders win the challenge half of them will fail in passing the next stage and half of them will later lose their live accounts. The amount they will pay the funded traders can be simply a percentage of the profits they make from the losing traders. but that is not proven yet, so let's leave it like that.
So Are there better prop firms? Yes.
there are 2 names that I know of. One is the 5 Percenters and the other is the one below.
I think this prop firm based here in the UK is a very good alternative to the popular prop firm whose business model is actually to make money off the 92% losing traders. This firm invests in actually winning traders.
1 Year Evaluation Period.

When You Filter a Signal Do This
**An Important Tip to that trading H1: **When you check the chart and you decide NOT to take the signal. You should take a screenshot and type why you're not taking it. Follow it later to see what happened and record if your thoughts about that signals have changed and why.

The Importance of RR and WinRate
Chat copied from Discord.
- One of the BIGGEST flaw in our approach in Setup 1 was the Risk to Reward Ratio... it was HARD to remain overly profitable because .... I , for years, LIED to myself or deceived myself by accepting BE as winners. BE = no effect trade. so if your win rate is 33% and loss rate is 33% and BE is 33%... the rend result will be you will remain profitable when win rate is slightly higher than 33% or win loss rate is slightly less than 33%... WOW
- [14:00]
Why the hell did it take me THAT Long to figure it out? Probably because my own win rate almost always stayed above 40% to 55%. So I never felt the need to inspect this. However beginners will have a much lower win rate. - [14:00]
How do i prove this? - [14:01]
It's simple. Statistics will prove this for us. - [14:02]
for any method whether its trading or professional casino games or betting on sports... if you have a system the stats will always apply - [14:02]
for a given method, you MUST know this. - [14:02]
what is your BREAKEVEN win rate for your Risk to Reward Ratio? - [14:02]
IF your win rate is 33% and your Risk to Reward is 1:2. you will stay breakeven overall. - [14:03]
here is a cheat sheet
- [14:04]
So on H1 I go for 1:5 and my win rate is 33% ... I only need 15% win rate to remain profitable.... - [14:04]
- [14:06]
and that is the RULE we learned from Paul Tudor Jones . I can repeat this all my life. I have said it many times before. ... - [14:06]
“You should always be able to find something where you can skew the reward risk relationship so greatly in your favor that you can take a variety of small investments with great reward risk opportunities that should give you minimum drawdown pain and maximum upside opportunities.” – Paul Tudor Jones - [14:06]
PTJ says that he will never take a trade unless he sees 1:5 risk to reward opportunity. - [14:08]
“The most important thing is money management, money management, money management. Anybody who is successful will tell you the same thing.” – Marty Schwartz - [14:09]
what I'm trying to say is that if you trade with 1:2 win loss, it will work but you will have to keep above 33% win rate. if you can keep 40% wi nrate, you will make money. - [14:09]
but with 1:3, you only 25% win rate to be breakeven. and ANYONE can maintain a 33% win rate with banana.
