Wednesday 2022-10-05 Lo session

Unread post by eaxh »

I am not giving up. Despite being in DD i have hope. I know i can be profitable in the long run.

I will continue.
Trade by Trade.

I am coming to the root of my issues.
The problems are not the trades i take, but the ones i dont take. I skip so many picture perfect trades due to hesitation.

In correct context, i am being WAY too pedantic about the entry.
When i am not really sure about the context i end up taking a signal.

I will practice on taking trades in corrext context even if it does not feel good.

Thursday 2022-10-06 Lo session

No news to be aware of today.

I stayed objective during the session.
I placed the trades when they came.
The second one was out by spread  unfortunately. NEXT.

Hey

I'm hoping that today , You will have caught something on both or either of the M1 or M5 ... Dax moved smoothly... fingers crossed.  :bringiton

The thing that makes me money in trading is when I "Objectively Follow my Trading Plan".

I understand that I can't catch all the moves or all the signals but my objective is to catch THE VALID SIGNALS & ONLY the Valid Signals.

Hi!

Yes i did  :cool on m5. M1 was not ready at my M1 time, LO session.

I have realised that i have had such a rubbish trading plan when it comes to how i validate a signal.
I have depended too much on how i feel or how i see it rather than techically assess the market with an objective framework.

I have been playing it so safe that i have ended up losing.
With playing safe i mean that i have done everything in my power not to lose.
-taking only confirmationsignals
-taking only signals that look perfect (usually in a not moing market)
-being to afraid to take trade when it is moving, scared that it will turn around.

Instead of just taking the signals that are within the valid parameters.

I have been working hard to write down and have an objectivity that i understand completely.
There is no way that i can make money with the confusion that i have had.

Despite how hard and stressful this period have been i see now that i needed it to wake up and do the work i need to do.

I will share my journey here back to profitability with a more stable and solid ground.

Hey Emma

What you wrote here is the writing of a person who really is trying to get good at this game. And believe you me, only a small percent of people get to experience the problems that you are facing. You will find a way through it, you are what I call the Stage 4 or Stage 5 people. Unfortunately at that stage, ONLY YOU can find and correct your problems. We can only give you words of encouragement and re-enforce the BEFLIEF that YOU CAN DO IT! 100%

cheers

Emma, I can see the mind shift and as Immy said you are onto great things.
Keep up the great work, and thanks for sharing the journey with us all.

Going out to win, rather than going out to not lose are two completely different things.

i am giving up..

Unread post by eaxh »

I have taken a descicion.
The hardest one so far. I am giving up on M1 trading.
My life does not look like it did when i started. I have also had a tough time emotionally and it have been impossible to trade well consistently.

With that in mind i have started trading H1 instead. And ONLY H1.
It feels like there is a very slow process. But am i making money on M1?!

well.. no.. so i can not continue with doing that.

It will take some time to get use to but i know its the best for me and the account.

Less emotion and more focus.

I want to be as transparent as i possibly can but the last weeks have been to hard on me and i needed some time off everything.

Brave post, but possibly the most important one? We have to be truly honest with ourselves, in anything. We can only come to our own realisations and in our own time.

keep going :)

H1 trading

Unread post by eaxh »

This is my 4th week just trading H1.

The first 2 weeks i felt like i was giving up on trading and that i had failed totally. That feeling i fading away and i can now see the benefits of this mental breakdown that i had.
And i started to think of why i started trading in the first place.
The first thing that made me start trading was to be able to make money in my own way, to not be hired. The other thing was that i wanted to have more free time to spend with the kids, family and to do other things that i am feeling passioned about.

I had build a trading career that did not bring the steady income that i wanted, i did not have alot of free time and i had a life that made me stressed and anxious. I did just dont see it before it was too late. I kind of hit the wall... again.....
The greed and fear took the best of me.

Now i have a daily schedule that give me room to live.

This is not starting over from scratch, it is the way forward.
Even if it takes 2 years to get up to BE on the funded account i will be worth it.
I will take one trade at a time, one batch at a time and just continue.
