The P and P and P , how many of them Pees???

Unread post by immy »

The get the pattern right,

the P's should not be more than the T's

A TTPPPP or a TTTPPPPP is almost always going to be a BAD setup... almost always...

We want to see a symmetry

A TTTPP is better than TTTP,

A TP is better than TPP

A TTPP is better than TTPPP

A TTTTPP is better than TTTTP or TTTTPPPPPP

and then

How much should the P's pullback?

Ideally not more than 60% but somewhere between 60 and 30%. A good symmetry

The best ones are the ones that pullback and touch a previous level....

makes sense?

3 Slides to Explain BFC3 Process

Unread post by immy »

In the following slides I will show you how to assess a Banana Signal using the BFC3.

The new flow chart incorporates trend analysis into the process.

What if you get a signal, apparently going against the 50ema (trend)? how do you filter or validate it.

When will I take signals that are visually going against the H1 Trend?

Let's look at example on Dax that happened on the 10th of Aug 2022.

Conclusion and Rules

1. It must have a CLEAN and Clear Banana Pattern
2. It must have either broken out of a contracting channel / Wedge or a Breakout of a TTR.
and lastly and more importantly.
3. The trend on the D1 must be clear. We will take a trend change or reversal in the direction of the D1 trend.

Trend Continuation Entries

Unread post by immy »

The Banana Testing included all types of banana signals.

In live trading, however, we only take the ones with clean TTTPP type setups. That is because those are the cleanest and highest probability entry setups.

But...

There are 2 more ways to get into the market based on the TREND

One is the Limit Order entry technique which is used for either the same seed or banana signal, box levels, trading range levels or swing levels.

the 2nd one is when we get to see the Trend and its a Parallel channel trend

The Banana pattern that we normally look for is the "breakout and pullback" setup

But that does not mean we cannot or should not trade into a confirmed trend.

In fact one of the most profitable trading technique is to simply find a trend and GET IN.

I will post a few charts here to show what is a parallel channel or smooth trend and how to get in.

In the chart below you see DAX on the 3rd and 4th of oct 2022.

That is a nice example of a parallel channel or 45 degree clean trend. It does not have a TTTPP pattern, but instead it has smaller pullbacks and banana signals. WE can take these when the trend is confirmed.
Trend Continuation Entries.png

The next example is from USD/JPY. This pair has been trending up for 2 years now. But this year, 2022, it has trended up a lot thanks to "inflation" and stock market's bearish moves.

On the chart below we don't see a clean B pattern but what we see is more powerful than the banana pattern on its own.

Limit buy is for SEEDS only. DAX today is a good example. but I like to use it on VERY CLEAN clear trends. ones where I just want to get in but i want to get in with the most Risk to Reward ratio. if the direction is in question then its higher risk. we don't want to use it during a choppy or range market because price goes up and down too much and will stop you out

The Setup 1 is the Banana and vice versa

Unread post by immy »

The Perfect banana pattern, TTP is almost always a Setup 1 on a lower time frame. Let's have a look at H1

This chart shows a TTP on GBP/JPY D1 Chart.
2022-10-17_18-14-15.png

Now lets look at H1 . Look at the beautiful Setup 1. Day 1 is Wave 3, Day 2 is Wave 4 (T and Seed on d1) and day 3 is  Wave 5 breakout...  :rock
2022-10-17_18-18-19.png
and the Banana Signal is within Wave 5

Immy, in the video you talk about gray banana signals. I see them in your chart, but I never get these. Why is that? What difference between gray and blue/pink?
