After my previous FTMO Trial account expired, I open another FTMO 14 Days Trial Account on December 21 to exclusively trade the Setup 1, Setup 2 and Banana Methods to see how much I can improve on my trades comparing with the previous 3 batches. This time, I trade on 1M timeframe and only use the 5M to check direction and Supports & Resistances using the pass AIMS Box levels.
Trade 61

5. Comments and Feelings at the Time of Taking the Trade: The price broke out of the major resistant level (the red line in the chart) and pulled back to the support. On the second PB, I placed a Buy Stop order for 43.74 Lots at P 33200.83, SL 32737.3, TP 33228.17, Risk 1%. The order was filled at 18.55 at 15:10. When it hit 2R at 15:54. I closed 21.2 lots for $1028.2 profit. I used AIMS Box as trailing stop for the other 22.54 lots. The trade stopped out at 15:58 for $955.7 Profit. The net profit was $1983.90.
6. Post Trader Questions:
a) I think this is a perfect Banana Trade.
b) However, it was difficult to count the PB in this situation. I counted it from the time it broke out from the major resistance with great momentum instead of from the time the 10EMA crossed the 20EMA.

5. Comments and Feelings at the Time of Taking the Trade: I saw a green dot at 17:19. At that time, the Gator was closed, AO near the ZL and the Brown Line was below the Gator lines. The signal candle just lifted off strongly from the 20EMA and 10EMA. I did not wait for the new box formed and I placed a Buy Stop order for 25.44 Lots at P 33224.1, SL 33184.28, TP 33355.04, Risk 1%. The order was filled at 17:20. When I checked the trade, It already hit 3R. I closed 12.2 lots for $1500.06 profit. I used AIMS Box as trailing stop for the other 13.24 lots. The trade stopped out almost immediately for $1735.76 Profit. The net profit was $3236.36.
6. Post Trader Questions:
a) I think this is a Setup 2 because the signal was a green dot.
b) If I did not look at Setup 1, but only use Banana signal, I would get the same result because the next bar was an inside bar with a with great a Seed Signal and the entry level was almost identical with the one I used.

I placed a Sell Stop order below the low of the AIMS Box to the left for 50.20 Lots at P 33329, SL 33288.75, TP 33280.49, Risk 1%. The order was filled at 13:01. When it hit 1R, I closed 36 lots for $511.20 profit. The other 41.02 lots hit target at 13:20 for $2059.20 Profit. The net profit was $2570.4.

The order was filled at 13:52. When the price hit 1R, I close 11.5 lots for $511.2 profit. The other 12.36 lots hit target at 13:54 for 1396.68 profit. The total profit was $1937.18.

a) This is not a perfect Banana trade.
b) Although after putting my order in, price formed a trading range, but I decided to keep the order because there were many bearish candles at the second half of the range.

a) This was a good Banana setup.
b) If I changed the PO to the 1st seed candle, I would make 2R.
c) If I changed the PO to the 2nd seed candle, I would make >1R or BE if I took 1/2 of the profit at 1R.

5. Comments and Feelings at the Time of Taking the Trade: Price resumed the uptrend after the PB (red line) with 5 TC's then pulled back to the 10 EMA with a banana signal at 12:15. I placed a Buy Stop order for 35.53 Lots at P 1.06171, SL 1.06142, TP 1.06236, Risk 1%. But I missed the trade, so I changed it to a limit order. The order was filled at 2:21 and stopped out 1 minute later for $1030.37 loss.
6. Post Trader Questions:
a) This was not a bad Banana setup, but the signal candle was a little smaller than the TC.
b) I think that I lost due to not familiar with the instrument (EURUSD) and its moves.
c) From now on, I will practice trading a new pair or instrument until I know how it moves before trading it.
d) Another lesson I learned from this trade was that I should skip a trade after I missed it instead of changing it to limit order because the signal would not be valid for a reversed move.
e) I should get out of the trade right after the bearish pin bar to keep a small profit or avoiding the loss.
f) This was a lost trade, but I learned more from this trade than all the winning trades I made so far.

It hit target at 12:35 for $1804.99 Profit. The net profit was $2532.99.

a) I think this is a perfect Banana Trade.
b) This was the First PB. In the future, I will place a smaller order (0.75% or 0.5% risk) at the Second PB if I take 1/2 off at 1R. I will give me more room for profit.

After that it pull back with 3 Banana candle. I knew that this was the 3rd PB, but because I made money on the previous trade, I decided to risk 1% this time to test the water. I placed a Buy Stop order for 95.1 Lots at P 33164.1, SL 33151.15, TP33196.67, Risk 1%. The order was filled at 12:27 and stopped out 3 minutes later for $1274.34 loss
6. Post Trader Questions:
a) I think this is a dangerous Banana Trade, but I decided to try it anyway because I already made $11865 profit in the last 8 trade, enough to pass the Stage 1 of Banana Challenge. If I lose $1000 on this trade, I still make it.
b) This was the 3rd PB and the chance of winning was not good. If I actually trade, I may not take this trade.

On the second PB, I placed a Buy Stop order for 121.73 Lots at P 33117.2, SL 33126.37, TP 33091.2, 1% Risk. The order was filled at 13:39. When it hit 1R, I closed 60.55 lots for $611.56 profit. When the other 61.18 nearly hit target the second time, I decided to remove the target and trailing it with 20 EMA. It stopped out at 14:06 for $1113.48 Profit. The net profit was $1705.24

a) I think this was a perfect Banana Trade.
b) I was a bit confused with the PB count this time. This may be the Third PB instead of Second PB. So I decided not to trade on the next PB.

5. Comments and Feelings at the Time of Taking the Trade: The price reversed from the down trend with a W bottom. After it broke out of the neckline, I waited for a PB to the 10 or 20 EMA. When it PB near the 20 EMA then return with a Seed signal, I placed a Buy Stop order for 153.44 lot at P 10992.4, SL 10985.05, TP 11014.35, 1% Risk. The order was filled at 14:27. When it hit 1R, I closed 76.5 lots for $555.45 profit. The other 76.94 Lots moved down and almost hit SL. I decided to leave it alone. When the other 61.18 nearly hit target the second time, I decided to remove the target and trailing it with the AIMS Box. It stopped out at 15:07 for $784.79 Profit. The net profit was $1343.24.

a) I think this was a perfect Banana Trade.
b) It also taught me the importance of trusting the system and stay with the trading plan.

5. Comments and Feelings at the Time of Taking the Trade: The price reversed from the uptrend with a Head and Shoulder formation. After it broke out of the neckline, I waited for a PB to the 10 or 20 EMA. When it PB near the 20 EMA then return with a Banana signal and a Seed signal, I placed a Sell Stop order for 35.94 lots at P 10920.4, SL 10951.41, TP 10846.47, 1% Risk. The order was filled at 17:58. When it hit 1R, I closed 17.5 lots for $556.50 profit. The other 18.44 lots stopped out at 1:39 for $569.8 Loss.

a) I think this was a perfect Banana Trade and losing on a perfect setup is unavoidable.
b) It reminded me the importance of moving SL to BE or take 1/2 position off at 1R.

5. Comments and Feelings at the Time of Taking the Trade: Today is the first trading day after Christmas; the European Markets are closed. The market is somewhat slow. The price reversed from the downtrend with a W Bottom and decisively broke the neckline one big TC then pull back with 1 PB candle. I was waiting for it to pull back to the 10EMA, but it pushed up with another TC. After the price pulled back to the 10EMA then returned, I placed a Buy Stop order above the top of the AIMS Box for 45.46 lots at P 10905.7, SL 10881, TP 10959.89, 1% Risk. The order was filled at 17:25 and hit SL at 17:31 for $1127.41 loss.
6. Post Trader Questions:
a) I think this was a good Banana Signal, but I should place the PO above the high of the previous box instead of the current box.
b) The only concern was that the 5M Chart was still in the downtrend, but I decided to accept the calculated risk.
c) In fact, because today only NY market opened, and I was reluctant to trade because the spread was high, but I used this a learning opportunity to test the method and the market.

After the price pulled back to the 20EMA then closed above the 10EMA with a Banana Signal, I placed a Sell Buy order above the top of the AIMS Box for 52.41 lots at P 10905.2, SL 10883.49, TP 10961.89, 1% Risk. The order was filled at 17:40 and hit SL at 17:55 for $1184.47 loss.

a) I don't think this was a good Banana Signal because the price was in the reading range.
b) In this trade as well as in the previous trade, I mixed a price reversal technique with the Banana technique.
c) I forgot that after breaking the neckline, price already moved more than 2R. It may pull back or form a trading range. In this case, it formed a TR.

After the price pulled back to the 20EMA then closed above the 10EMA with a Banana Signal, I placed a Sell Stop order above the top of the AIMS Box for 60.34 lots at P 10871.4, SL 10890.01, TP 10816.41, 1% Risk. The order was filled at 18:01 and hit SL at 18:24 for $1176.63 loss.

a) I don't think this was a good Banana Signal because the price was in the reading range.
