Hi Connad

I was thinking Smart Live but learned that Alpari was starting SB so with them onpening an account was just a matter of few clicks. Never really tried it since I was never able to finish my plan for that and transfer of funds etc. So will find out when I do that!

I assume you use market orders? Otherwise one does not get many re-quotes.

cheers

PFG Best scandal ! who can you trust??

Unread post by jasonshurnas »

Hey guys is anyone worried about using these broker's or FCM'S because of what recently
happened with PFG Best??

apparently your FX acct is not insured against loss in the event a greedy CEO
wants to take it!! i just lost money with PFG because of this.
Type PFG Best in google to see what i mean.

I hardly want to trade and work hard building up my acct to have it stolen from me by theives.

http://www.citifx.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; apparently they provide FDIC insurance up to 250k on forex accts!
does any one want to take a look at them and comment.

i am really worried about trusting these forex brokers and the fact that they can screw you
makes it very hard to build an account over time.

Jason

I believe it depends on which country you reside in and what regulations your respective country has.

I am in England and the Financial Services Authority (FSA) guarantees your money up to a certain level. It is £50k I believe but may have recently increased, so as long as the forex broker is FSA regulated then I don't see anything to worry about.

I don't know where you are or what regulations there may be in other countries but it is definately something worth looking into.

Hi Everyone,

Good topic raised on brokers and their scary conduct nowadays. But Jason suggestion to look at http://www.citifxpro.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; is equally scary as they require a minimum of $10,000 deposit to open FX account along with other restrictions. Definitely, this is not welcoming for newbies who don't have much disposable funds to put on forex; considering the famous slogan in forex: "trade forex with an amount of money you can afford to loose"

Having mentioned that, could someone please help me with the advice on what to do: My Alpari (UK) MT4 Trading Platform loaded with my AIMS software freezes a lot when trying to execute trades. This is frustrating! Whereas, some MT4 platforms like 'HotFX & FXCM' are very smooth in executing my trades (demo of course)

Could anyone help me with what to do please!

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to see if anyone has any experience with the broker GFT (in Australia).
http://www.gft.com.au/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Specifically I'm interested in slippage and speed of execution, nothing annoys me more than waiting precious seconds for a ticket to come up after price has gone through my entry level.
Thanks in advance,
Dave
Ps. Also open to other suggestions for reputable Australian based brokers, primarily with low spreads on majors.
Now, I choose to make a profit in trading.

Hi Dave

I have used Axitrader, spreads are low, however I have noticed slippage on order execution, more so than I experience with Alpari but not sure if this is due to me being based in UK so not too close to their servers.

I currently use Alpari as so far their execution has been pretty spot on with very little slippage (1 or 2 orders) experienced on over 100 trades using AIMS methodology and VE order management tool.

Cheers

I want to start live trading with GKFX. Confused as to which is the correct site. GKFXprime or GKFX, both looks similar. Want to open a small STP account to start with. Can anyone point me to the correct link.
Thanks.

Hi there,

Just a new member, a bit overwhelmed with all the incredible content :)
I want to trade live with the SKype room and need a broker for DAX.
Currenctly I have found THINKFOREX and IAMFX spreads between 1,8 and 2,5,
Is that too much ??

Do you have any advice since my broker has amazing spreads on currencies but for indices not so great as currencies.
I live in the Netherlands.

Hi Marc

I think the answer to your question is just above your post. We recommend GKFX. If you read the Skype room instructions and T20 document we want everyone to be on GKFX demo at least so that everyone sees the same chart!

Hope this helps
